Now, I had a home, a job and friends. I actually felt at home. Before Rae left she told me to stay put, that the Alpha needed everyone to be home so they could receive a crystal for protection. She hugged me and left saying if she didn't hurry her mate would skin her alive. I shut the door and locked it after she left, fixed myself a soda and played with my phone. I wanted to call +Julian Takumi so bad, I even started to when there was a knock on my front door. I peeked out to see who it was and opened the door happily.* Hi! I was just about to call you, Julian.

    * His kiss shocked me. I grabbed on to his biceps, moaning, his tongue touching mine. My body responded in a way that I've never felt before. I released his arms and leaned into him, pressing my body against his. My heartbeat was so loud in my ears, my skin felt electric and I couldn't stop kissing him. Is this what desire felt like? If so, I wanted more. When we finally came up for air, I could only stare into his eyes. I was scared of this feeling, yet wanted more of it. I wasn't sure of what to say, my mouth opened and words tumbled out.* That was my first real kiss..that I enjoyed.

    I couldn’t help it, I grinned at her words. I’m glad you enjoyed it, because I definitely did. Her eyes widened and she blushed again. Damn, I love your blush. Her skin turned darker as another blush emerged. “Are you for real?” I looked into her beautiful eyes. I hope so, because the things I’m feeling are very real. I took her hand and pulled her over to the couch and we sat down. I think was exhausted but I also needed this time with her before I got back to looking for Kaiyo. I pulled Brennan closer to me and let my head fall back against the top of the couch. I felt Brennan relax against me as she spoke. “Has there been any word on your sister yet?” I blow out a breath before answering her. The only thing we know is that a witch has her. It’s the reason for the spell around the town. We don’t want the witch getting away with Kaiyo. We also don’t want her calling in others to help her. Brennan was quiet as I talked and I realized I could sit here forever if Kaiyo wasn’t in danger. I want you to stay where Spencer can keep an eye on you. Please don’t go anywhere without him. It’s been a long time since you’ve been in McGregor. There are so many new faces and I need you safe while I search for Kaiyo. I felt Brennan nod against my chest as I talked. I’ll try to get you started at work soon. When I leave here I have to go by the clinic to activate the crystal then I’ll head home to do the same. I let out a breath as I waited to see if she would say anything.

    I hope you find your sister soon and, that she is alright when you do. * I had a flash of memory, back to Jordan and the loss of her memories. I shook my head slightly, praying that the same thing did not happen to Kaiyo. I knew Julian had to get going, he had a sister to find and his own home and business to protect. I'd love for him to stay so we could talk more, and the kisses were a bonus but, until Kaiyo was safe at home, neither of us could have relaxed. I gave him a quick hug and held his hand with both of mine.* Go, find your sister, do whatever it takes. I'll be here, waiting for you. I promise. And, if there is something that I can help with, please let me know.

* Raechel Hadrian​​ was finally sleeping as I quietly dressed and left the house. I had to deal with Mia before I dealt with the females of the pack. I was still furious, but everything with Jordan McCormick​​ overshadowed it. I still needed to tell Mikaela Kieschnick​​. Maybe I'd call Damon Kieschnick​​ first. Slade and I had talked about bringing Vincent Gaines on, but it hadn't gotten any further when we were called to help Bianca.
