* I stopped in and picked up a couple coffee's and cinnamon rolls at the diner before I headed to the hotel to check on +Brennan Walker. I held the coffee's in one hand and put the paper bag between my teeth so I could knock on the door when it flew open. Brennan smiled at me from inside her room, my fist was still in the air ready to knock. She took the bag from my teeth. * "It's about time you got here! Come in, I have something I want to show you." * I was stunned for a couple seconds by her greeting, but followed her into the room and handed her a coffee. * Um, I brought you coffee. * She laughed and took it. * Thanks! I was up early, I couldn't sleep. So I got to work on all the information you wanted from me. * Something about her had changed since I dropped her off yesterday and this morning. Looking at the table in front of us, I noticed a paper with a drawing of a building. * Is this.... * Brennan nodded. * "This is the building the fights are held in." * She watched me as I studied it. She had tagged different area's of the building. I'd forgotten all about the coffee and rolls. * Walk me through it, don't leave anything out please.

* The motel room Slade had gotten me was nice. It was clean and the bed was comfortable but, the four walls were closing in on me. I showered and changed into a pair of jeans, tee and my hoodie. The jeans and tee were the last of my clean clothes. I'd have to find a laundromat soon. I stood in the doorway of my room, almost afraid to step out into public. When I left everything here was crazy. I knew that the town had changed with the new Alpha but, what if someone from my past saw me? Would they freak out? I just didn't know..I did know I was hungry and the diner was a short walk from the motel. It was a pretty day, warmer since spring had finally decided to settle in. I pocketed the room key and the little bit of money I had left and walked out, shutting the door behind me. The walk was pleasent and everywhere I looked I could see smiling faces, people working, children playing. It actually was a new town. I got to the diner and saw that it was mostly empty. I walked in and a bell over the door rang. " Just sit anywhere honey. I'll be right with you!" I went to a booth in the back and sat down where I could see the door. There was a newspaper someone had left on the table next to me and I reached over and grabbed it. Maybe, just maybe I could find work. As I skimmed the classifieds a shadow fell over me. I glanced up and smiled at the older lady. " Here is a menu for you darlin. Would you like some coffee?" I nodded and took the menu. " You sure have pretty red hair. Don't see that much around here. There a pretty little thing.." She stopped speaking as she set the coffee in front of me. I nervously smiled at her. " Oh my..Brenda..No it was prettier..Brennan..oh. you sweet thing! We all thought you were dead!" She one arm hugged me and the memory of her came to me. She used to give us cookies, all the kids knew she was good for a cookie.* Margaret. I remember you. I was gone for a while but under some strange circumstances I'm back. * Her smile was genuine and I relaxed a little. " So, what cha hungry for? Eggs, bacon, toast? Biscuits and gravy? Pancakes? " I thought about the money in my pocket and looked at the menu biting my lip. " You'll have the special sampler plate. Everything I mentioned for a dollar." I shook my head.* I can pay..Slade said he'd cover anything..* She touched my cheek. " Hogwash, you'll have the sampler like I said. You're too tiny as it is and, Slade would agree with me. Now, enjoy your coffee. I'll be back soon with your breakfast." I could only smile

* I was having a hard time concentrating in class. I had thought a lot about what Julian had said and decided that maybe he was right. Reese and I could maybe explore where our feelings lead us and I wouldn't have to give anything up. I just wasn't sure how to breach the conversation with +Reese Wallace. And today he was acting standoffish, he barely spoke to me and when he did it was in a professional manner. I hated to admit it, but I was a little hurt and wasn't sure what to do. * "Kaiyo! Kaiyo!" * I looked in the direction the voice was coming from and watched as Haru weaved through people to get to me. * Hi Haru. * He grinned at me and shrugged shyly. * "I was kind of wondering if you would want to share your lunch hour with me?" * I heard Reese's low growl behind me and was confused by his behavior. He barely spoke to me on our way here, but the second a male shows a little interest he gets all growly. I didn't know what to do. * "I know a nice little place down the street that won't have many college students in it. And it's within walking distance." * We all had to eat, I guess I didn't see the harm in it. The weather was beautiful today and it would be nice to walk. When I looked at Reese to try to read how he felt, his expression was empty, almost like he was bored. Whatever, I thought to myself. I smiled up at Haru. * Yeah, I guess that would be okay. * Haru grinned and motioned for us to head down the hall in the opposite direction we had been going. I walked beside him, but not too close. I didn't want him to get the wrong idea. Once we made it outside we headed down a street. * "So earlier today, I actually heard some of the females talking about whether you were Japanese Royalty and that's why you have the security guard with you." * I laughed. * Definitely not royalty, but would you believe me if I told you there was a hit out on my head and Reese here is my salvation? * "Kaiyo." * I heard the warning in Reese's voice, I was saying too much. But I knew that Haru was a wolf shifter and Reese was the one that told me his background was clean. * Haru looked at me, but he didn't look surprised. * "Actually, yeah. I figured it was something like that. Look, I know you know what I am, just like I know what you are." * He looked at Reese. * "Yes, I know what you are too. I'm here if you need anything." * I smiled and was about to thank him when Reese butted in. * "We're fine." * Haru frowned and opened up a door to a cute little Italian restaurant. I walked inside and the smell of the pasta made my belly growl. The decor was simple but beautiful. We sat ourselves at a table. I watched as Reese took in our surroundings before taking the chair beside me. We waited for a waitress to bring us a menu. *

* I'd woken up early to fix everyone a good breakfast. Today +Vincent Gaines and I were going to enroll Michael into school. I was more nervous than I should have been. What if the kids were mean to him? Treated him like an outcast? Kids were cruel these days. And I really didn't know any teenagers well here. But it wasn't like he was a kindergartner. He was big for a kid his age and could handle himself. Vincent must have felt my negative energy. He leaned in, kissed me behind the ear and whispered that everything was going to be fine. I smiled and nodded, soaking up as much of his positive energy as I could. Michael came down the stairs carrying the back pack and few school supplies that Tyler and I had taken him to town to get to be prepared for the day. He held his head high and I could tell he was trying to be strong, but was a little nervous too. * "You ready to go, kid?" * Vincent asked and Michael nodded. Vincent grinned slapping him on the back. * "Then let's get you enrolled in school." * The Three of us put our coats on and piled into my Range Rover. The short drive into town was quiet and I noticed out of the corner of my eye that Michael was taking in our little town. I caught Vincent watching him through the rear view mirror as he drove and I was certain I saw a sense of pride in his eyes. We pulled into the parking lot of the school, stepping out of the car the three of us looked over the large building and made our way towards the door that signified the office was just inside. We pushed the doorbell and waited, until we heard the release of the lock and walked through the door that said office. A busty redhead smiled up at us. * "How can I help you?" * We need to enroll Michael in school. * She looked at Michael and then between Vincent and myself. * "He'll be new to our school so I'll need a copy of his birth certificate." * I had hoped that we wouldn't have to answer too many questions but this wasn't going to be easy. Vincent stepped up to the counter. * "Listen, Michael just lost his family. We opened up our home to him, so he'd have a chance at a good life. He's very excited about getting enrolled." * I inwardly rolled my eyes as she hung on Vincent's every word. * "Well, why don't you have a seat and I'll talk to the Principal." * The three of us sat down as she disappeared through a door that read Principal Clarke on it. *

Once I’d made up my mind it didn’t take long for me to put things in motion. One of my coven members was a real estate agent and he had my house on the market by the end of the day. I’d arranged for most of my furniture to be sold, so I would only take my most beloved possessions with me. I sold my old car and gotten a Jeep that was great on mileage and gas. Then I arranged to get a small Uhaul to attach to the back of my Jeep. I didn’t know where I was going but I was so ready for the change. The females of my coven helped me pack all my clothes, shoes and any other miscellaneous things I wanted to bring with me. My spell books were packed and put in the trailer along with all my legal books. I knew wherever I made my next home I would be needing both. I put a suitcase in the back of the Jeep so I would be able to have easy excess when stopping at hotels. Smiling, I hugged the members of my coven and promised to call and let someone know where I was every night, as well as inform them when I found a town I liked. Thomas made sure my bikes were put on the back of the Jeep before turning to me.

Pulling into the drive, I shut off my truck and cursed underneath my breath. How the fuck can she keep lying to me?! Opening my truck door the wind blew in and her scent wrapped all round me. Shaking my head, I got out and slammed the truck door. To top it all off, she slapped me again for something I had no control over. Females were tripping. Growling, I cast off my clothes right then and there and took off into a slow jog. My bear was mad I needed to let him out and blow some steam away. Sensing the shift coming I jumped up and shifted landing on all fours. Roaring I took off into the woods behind my place. I've always loved nature. I could remain in my bear form for months and not care. Using up the hidden trail behind my home, I headed up the mountain. This would be a great escape path. The main trail was about a half a mile out. No one else knew about it. There are no tracks or scents, nothing. This was a great way to clear my head. She was driving me nuts. First she acts like I was gum under her shoe. Then, she is shouting and smacking me like a jealous ex. Then, she tells me I was a crush that’s she is over, but smacks me and behaves like the jealous ex again. I was so confused and angry. Possibly a little hurt that she felt like she had to lie to me. Coming to a small cliff about half way up, I sat down looking over the view. Hell, even my bear was thrown by her actions. Laying down, I huffed out and Closed my eyes. I will keep this professional. Tomorrow was a fresh day and school for her.

Jake made sure that the bag was right. The food, blanket, and drinks were nestled tightly in the bag. HIs master was feeling a lot better and Jake knew he needed to get away from the compound for a few hours. Once the sun set he told his master to get ready and ask no questions. So his master grumbled and did what he kindly asked him. Grinning they all go into the hummer and Maxim drove to the spot that Jake picked out for them. "My pet where are we going? Why is he here?" Jake sighed. Mate be nice. He is my bodyguard and my friend. He stays. Matre rolled his eyes and sat back in the seat. "I can protect you." You are still not one hundred percent master. Stop, please. Just have a good evening with me and relax. I don't want us thinking about anything just having a good time. After a while, his mate just nodded his head. When Maxim pulled up to the empty parking lot. Matre sat up and looked around. A playground mate? What the fuck are we doing at a playground? Jake grinned at him. We are going to eat breakfast for lunch and just relax. Shut up and get out the hummer. He got out and grabbed the bag walking to the grass area. Taking the blanket out he laid it out on the grass and lit some candles in jars to light up around them. Grinning when his mate finally came over and sat on the blanket. See not so bad right Matre Blogis?
