Taka turned me gently and pulled me against his chest, slipping the car keys from my hand. Wrapping his arms around me, he let me cry. * "Watashitachiha kaiyo o mitsukerudeshou, watashi wa yakusoku shimasu." {We'll find Kaiyo, I promise."} * I wrapped my arms around his waist. His gentle voice, embrace and his scent helped to calm me. I looked into my mate's eyes. * Why would they want her, Taka? Do you think that Senichi could be behind this? * My mate seemed to think for a minute. * "You and I know Senichi best. We could guess his next move in any situation and act on it before he even had to say anything. He knows he's gonna have to do something that we would never consider. I'm not saying he is behind this, but I wouldn't be surprised if he is." * I nodded, I knew he was right. Taka kissed me. * "Let's get to the house and get what Miss Blackstone needs." * I slipped into the passenger side of Julian's car and tried to pull myself together as Taka drove us to the house. *

    * I held Kimiko's hand as I drove us back to Julian's house. As soon as I parked, Kim burst out of the car and ran inside. I followed her inside. She had Kaiyo's hairbrush in her hand when she met me in the hall. " Help me with her vanity mirror, please." I nodded and stepped in Kaiyo's room. I held the mirror as Kim loosened the bolts holding it onto it's frame. It was a little heavier than I expected but I wrappwd it in a blanket and carried it out to the car. I placed it on the floor of the backseat, Kim got in and looked at me, the fear still in her eyes. I took her hand and kissed her knuckles.* We will get Kaiyo back, I promise. * She nodded, biting her lip. I started the car and headed to Loretta's cabin. It wasn't far and hopefully when we got there we'd get some answers. *

    Leaving the station with Julian. I was beyond pissed and scared. I said nothing as we both got into my truck. Julian just looked out the window as I drove the short distance to his office. I should of never left her side yesterday. I should have made sure she was safe. Pulling up to the clinic we both got out of my truck and headed inside. Jules gave us both a warm smile but that changed quickly. “Is everything okay Dr. Julian?” “Jules, can you please take Reese to a room for me, I need to draw some blood from him. *She nodded and showed me to my room. I was already wearing short sleeves so there was no need to change. She left the room and I could hear her and Julian talking in the hall. When Julian came back in he was carrying a tray with a needle and two vials on it. I looked at him and sighed. We can’t lose her. I won’t lose her. Not another one. Julian spun to face me. “Explain.” Sighing I kept looking at him. I explained how I lost my first almost mate in a bank robbery. He said nothing but his eyes softened a little as he drew my blood. He patched my arm up. “I do not know how much blood she will need so we will give her these two vials.” I nodded and stopped him from walking away. I do love her. I want to mate her and make her happy. I know she is young and has plans and I respect that. I’m not going to rush her or push her into anything. After this if she still wants me I’ll be here. But we need to get her back. Julian just stared at me. “We can discuss this once we have her back. Now is not the time.” Yes, it is. I need you to know this. I will do everything in my power to get her back. I jumped off the bed and stood in front of him. I would bring your medical bag. If anyone that is not us gets in our way they are going to get hurt.

    While I waited for Jules to take Reese to a room, I headed to my office scared for Kaiyo. I wanted to kill whoever had taken her, but I also wanted to know what made her leave the safety of the house. Shaking my head I picked up the bag that was sitting on my desk and walked out of my office as Jules stepped out of the room she had taken Reese in. Walking up to her I really didn’t know what to say. could you please cancel my appointments for the day? Kaiyo is missing and we believe that she was kidnapped. She sucked in a breath as her eyes widened. “I’m so sorry! Have the enforcers started looking for her?” Yes, we have a lead and we are working to protect the town so no one else goes missing. Jules nodded as I lifted the bag in my hand. I need you to do a favor for me! When she nodded and said she’d be happy too, I handed her the bag. There’s a new female in town, well she’s an old resident and she hasn’t been back very long. “Are you talking about the female that brought Jordan home?” Nodding. Yes! I need you to give her this for me. I passed Jules the bag and she smiled up at me. “I’ll make sure she gets it. As a matter of fact, the ladies and I are going to her family home to help her clean up.” Why don’t you take the appointment list with you and I’ll let you know if you’ll need to call tomorrow’s patients later. That way you don’t have to come in to do it. If there’s an emergency I’ll come in but I’m going to be looking for my sister. She nodded and I stepped to the closed door as Jules went back to her desk to get ready to leave. I picked up the tray Jules sat on the desk by the door and stepped into the room then made my way to the sink, washing my hands. Listening to Reese talk about his feelings for my sister was hard. I only wanted to get her home. I drew his blood then placed a bandage on his arm. When Reese continued to talk about what he wanted with Kaiyo, I finally stopped him. I knew he was her mate but I wanted her safe and sound before we discussed her future. My head snapped up at his words about my bringing my medical bag with us and I growled. I don’t give a fuck about anyone who took her. They can die and I wouldn’t give a shit. I looked at him and he seemed to agree. I picked up the vials with his blood, placing them in a small case to keep them safe. Let’s get to Loretta’s place. We stepped out of the room as Jules and her guard were heading to the door. She pulled out her keys as Reese and I stepped outside and headed to his truck. In moments we were on the road heading to find out where Kaiyo and I had no doubt that when we found her she would be safe. But safety was something that witch and whoever was helping her were never going to know.
