I’d gotten the 6 crystals, making sure Bernice had marked off Tyler, and my family from her list. I told Slade I would be back once I had delivered they crystals to Chloe, Michael and Tyler. As I walked I watched as Ian grabbed his crystals then headed for his truck after a quick conversation with Slade. He nodded to me as I opened the door to my truck. “I’ll meet you back here in an hour.” I grinned as I looked around the town. Then we can do our rounds, maybe we will find out where Kaiyo is being held. He nodded as the grin left my face. Everyone was on alert but were told that if we happened to find out where the witch was holding the girl we weren’t to go in after her. I can still hear Beck’s voice as I headed for home. “Don’t go in if you happen to find them. Just get your asses back here and Mrs. Blackstone will do the rest.” I pulled onto my driveway and parked, looking around as I got out of my truck. When I closed the door I whistled low and waited for Tyler to come out of the woods. “What’s up, Vincent?” *I pulled out two crystals from my pocket and handed them to Tyler. Just wanted to give you these. You need to keep one on you at all times while you are not at home. The other is for your home. “I saw and felt the spell as it was cast. I’ve never seen anything like that.” It was something to see. We spoke for a few minutes then he got back to work and I headed into the house. Michael, +Chloe Cross, I’m home! “In the kitchen.” I walked in and they were sitting at the table, books and papers spread out in front of them. Chloe looked up, a smile on her face. “I didn’t know you would be home so early.” I’m only here for a few minutes. I’m here to give you your crystals.

    * Sighing I put my pencil down and lost my smile. One of our females had disappeared in the middle of the night. They don't know how or why the witch had chosen her or why Kaiyo had even been willing to go. It scared me, what kind of magic had they used? Physically I can fight, but I can't battle magic. Vincent sat down beside me and squeezed my hand. * "We're going to be fine. I promise." * I nodded and tried to let my anxiousness go. * Vincent pulled some crystals out of his pocket setting one in front of Michael and one in front of me and a third one on the table. He held one more in his hand. * "These crystals will let us know if anyone other than those that hold these crystals has come within pack land." * He took one crystal placed it against his heart and it began to glow green. He looked at Michael and back to me. * "Both of you need to place your crystal on your heart to activate it and then keep it on you at all times." * The fourth crystal began to glow all on it's own. He picked it up and set it on the fireplace mantel. * "This one stays here in the house at all times. If you leave, take a shower. Your stone should always be right beside you." * Michael and I both nodded. * Have you found her? * I asked quietly. Vincent shook his head no. * "No, but we will. Until then, If you don't have to go out, stay home. If you run into someone who seems suspicious or off, you report it to one of us, do not engage them. That is Loretta's job." Okay. * Vincent looked at Michael. * I'd like for you to stay home at night instead of hanging out with your friends, at least until we take care of this threat. I'm going to be working some extra hours until we do and knowing that you are home to help keep Chloe safe, would make me feel better. * Michael nodded agreed. *

    I looked at them both as Michael nodded and I could see my words were good for the boy to hear and he knew he was part of the family. I picked up my crystal then took out my wallet along with my and watched as the crystal flattened then put it in my wallet. “Wow, that’s amazing.” Michael said as I slid my wallet back into my pocket. I grinned at him. Yes, it is amazing.* It’s the magic! Mrs. Blackstone explanation didn’t really make sense but what I got for it is the magic makes the crystal conform to what you need, when you need it. “Wow!” Michael said again. I chuckled even though the need for such magic wasn’t lost on me. I pulled Chloe from the seat she had taken again after we returned to the kitchen and pulled her into my arms. I don’t know what time I’ll be home tonight but no one can enter our home now. The crystal protects the house, plus Tyler and Michael are here and they won’t let anything happen to you. She looked up at me before giving me a kiss. “I know! What about the bar? Is Reese taking care of it and the employees?” I kissed the top of her head as we started walking to the front door. Yes, he should be doing that as we speak. I would really like to keep him on as the bar manager when you and Meg go back to work. It will free up your time and we can start planning vacations. I want to take you to visit my parents. I heard Chloe’s heart speed up and her body tensed up. They want to meet you. “I know, I’m just scared to meet them. What if they don’t like me?” I laughed and kissed her again. They are gonna love you as much as I do. I’ve got to go. I’ll see you both later. Remember don’t go out unless you absolutely have to. Michael yelled from the kitchen. “Don’t worry Vincent, we won’t go anywhere.” Chloe smiled up at me. “What he said.” I kissed her again then opened the door. Tyler nodded from the side of the house as I got into my truck. Soon I was back at the station waiting for Slade. I had radioed him and was told to meet him here. I wondered if something was wrong or had he found the girl. But once I gotten here I was told the search was still ongoing. As I stepped outside to wait I couldn’t help but remember about when my Chloe was taken and I was glad we had Mrs. Blackstone here to help.

* Raechel Hadrian​​ was finally sleeping as I quietly dressed and left the house. I had to deal with Mia before I dealt with the females of the pack. I was still furious, but everything with Jordan McCormick​​ overshadowed it. I still needed to tell Mikaela Kieschnick​​. Maybe I'd call Damon Kieschnick​​ first. Let him decide the best way to tell her. She'd taken to Jordan right off the bat and I think Jordan had loved Mik too. I kicked the truck engine over and rubbed my hands together. It was a few offices for Slade Michaels and Cole Ross, the other enforcers were directed by them. Slade and I had talked about bringing Vincent Gaines on, but it hadn't gotten any further when we were called to help Bianca. Now that the females had pulled the stunt they did, he may not stick around long enough for me to offer him the position. We had eight holding cells, each one made with reinforced silver. They stayed empty most of the time with the exception of a drunk or two needing to sleep off their drink.
