* I quickly pulled a search team together after Matthew's phone call and made my way to the Police Department quickly. I wasn't sure how Miss Blackstones niece might have gotten here, but we didn't need another missing person. Even though Jordan was living with Lily now, I still wasn't sleeping worth a shit and with as late as it was, I decided to just let Beck sleep and take care of this on my own, I would fill him in on it in the morning. Pulling up to the PD, 5 other vehicles followed me in and we huddled around Miss Blackstone. * "My granddaughter is missing. Her mate thinks she may have come here. My granddaughter is a powerful witch, but she is also panther shifter and demoness." * There were audible gasps and I glared at the males they came from. * "She is no threat to anyone here. I'm guessing she sensed how tired I was, got worried and then teleported because of how worried she was. She's pregnant and needs to be found." * I nodded and looked at the males. * You heard Miss Blackstone. She isn't a threat and she's pregnant. If you find her, make her fill safe until we can get Miss Blackstone to her, that will make her fill better. I'm sure she's a little scared right now. * The enforcers nodded paired up and jumped into their vehicles. I looked back to Miss Blackstone. * We'll find her. We'll follow you so you can open the veil. * She thanked me and we returned to our separate vehicles. We all followed Matthew and Lettie to the edge of town where what looked like a door had opened and allowed us to drive outside of the veil. I was surprised, but drove through and then used hand signals to tell the enforcers to break off and search different sections of our land. I followed Matthew until we hit our section and then we got out and walked on foot, looking for the female. *

I was so drained, and I could feel my magic taking what little strength I had left but I had to open up the dome. Closing my eyes to concentrate, I made the dome thin so it looked like a veil. Then I parted it and we all drove through. Once everyone was clear I closed the dome so no one could escape. I turned and watched as each team took off in different directions. We drove for another ten minutes and parked. We got out of my Jeep and met Slade at the back of the Jeep. Slade looked at me and said. “You look like you’re about to fall over. Maybe you should wait here.” Shaking my head, I said. I’m fine! I need to find my granddaughter. *He just shook his head. “Okay! We’re going to stay together. Let’s get started.” As we walked I tried to sense Ali but I couldn’t seem to pinpoint her location. I could feel her but something was blocking me. She’s here but something is blocking me. I think this is the first time she’s tapped into her demoness side. That could be what is blocking me. Should I call my grandson in law and have him come here? “They are too far away to be of any use.” I smiled up at him. My nephew is with him and he is full demon. It would only take them a few minutes. I looked at him and waited for his decision.
ReplyDelete* I just stared at this female in front of me. How in the hell did she have the family dynamics that she had? A full demon nephew. A granddaughter who was witch, shifter and demon. I shook my head and shrugged. * Why the hell not. Beck may have my head for this in the morning, but the faster we can locate her the better. * Grinning at me, Lettie pulled her phone out of her pocket, pushed on the screen a couple of times and placed the phone to her ear. * "Hello Wade. No, I haven't found her, but I know she is near. Ask Dominic if he can pinpoint me." * She smiled a little and nodded. * I figured he could. We are in McGregor, North Dakota. Have Frank and James hightail it up here in a vehicle and call me when they are close. I'll see you and Dominic in a minute." * She hung up the phone and looked at me. * "I promise you that my nephew and grandson in law will not be a problem as long as they are not attacked. One of them has evil sadistic mind tricks and the other can stop a beating heart without even touching you." * I nodded and grabbed my radio and radioed the team of men I had out here. After a minute I assured her there would be no problems. Not even a minute later two large males stood in front of the three of us. The Demon was a monster of a male. He smiled at Lettie. * "Aunt Lettie, I see you've taken on your younger self. You look radiant." * She smiled at him. * "Thank you Dominic." * Lettie looked at the other male who looked nauseous and a little pale. He shook his head and then focused on Lettie with a look of concern. * "Can you sense our Ali?" * The Vampire closed his eyes in concentration and after a couple of seconds he snapped them back open. He growled. * "I can sense her but can't pinpoint her. What is blocking us?" "I'm guessing her demon side is." Lettie turned to look at Dominic and he grinned. * "I've got her location."
ReplyDeleteI looked at Dominic and smiled. Where is she? He turned and pointed. “She’s about 15 miles in that direction. She seems disoriented and.... He closed his eyes. ...she is blocking me from contacting her. Hold on, I will have to penetrate the block. It’s strong but I think once we get closer I will be able to talk to her. She’s scared because she doesn’t know how she got here.” I wanted to scream at Dominic. Why was it so hard to find her? Do you think we can drive to get closer? That will give Dominic the time he needs to break through to Ali. I turned to Slade because I knew he was familiar with the area. What do you think? “Yes, that was part of the area we were going to check. Let’s drive closer and maybe your nephew will be able to contact her. I’m not exactly sure how he’s going to do that but what do I know about demons.” As you know, demons have powerful mind control capabilities, but they can also communicate with others. It’s not like shifters or vampires who can only communicate with their mates. You’ve done it before, right Dom? He nodded as he continued to try and get through to Ali. He opened his eyes and shook his head. “Nothing yet. But yes, Demitri has contacted Alicia in the past. It was when Sienna had gone into labor.” I smiled at the memory. I needed to pay a visit and see the twins. I looked at him then to Dominic and Wade realizing that I hadn’t introduced everyone. Dominic, Wade, this is Slade. He is the Beta here in McGregor. And this is Matthew, he’s my guard. They all nodded at each other. Then Slade spoke. “I’m going to take the lead. That way when Dominic has her we can head in her direction.” I nodded and we made our way back to the vehicles. We waited for Slade to pull out in front and then we headed in the direction Dominic said Ali was at.
ReplyDelete* The terrain was rough and hard to maneuver after dark. Once I knew we were headed in the general direction of Ali I began to concentrate on our bond. Her mind was surprisingly strong for only being a small percentage of demon. Maybe she was more than we all knew. ~ Ali, Its Dom. Sweetheart, let me in. ~ All I got was nothingness from her. I hated to force my way in, I didn't want to hurt her. I gave in and gently pushed a little more. ~ Ali, were close. Let me in so we can get to you sooner. Wade and your grandmother are with me. ~ A little flair of understanding pulsed through her mind but she still wouldn't talk to me. I sighed and opened my eyes. * She's just a couple miles ahead of us. I think she must be unconscious, I can't reach her and I'm scared to push to hard. I could hurt her. * Wade cursed and a feeling came over me. * STOP! * Slade slammed on the breaks and I jumped out. * This way, just a little farther. * I ran ahead of Wade and Slade and was shocked when I came up on a male cradling my cousin in his arms. I saw red and was ready to take the male out. Sending a wave of pain to the males mind, I watched as he struggled to stay standing, his face showed the pain that I administered him. I heard chatter on a radio behind me but ignored what was said. * "Dominic, NO. He's one of my enforcers. His partner just radioed in that they had found her. It took a moment for me to get my emotions under control. I released the male's mind and Wade ran past me and took Alicia from the male when Lettie ran up to them. * "Ali baby, wake up." * Wade cradled her in his arms and placed his forehead to hers. Lettie fussed over Alicia, looking her over from head to toe. * "Come on sweetheart, talk to us." * Lettie's voice cracked and I tried one more time to reach her. ~ Ali, your safe. In the arms of the man you love. Lettie is beside you and so am I. Open you eyes, little one."
ReplyDelete{I teleported! How the hell did I teleport? I looked around and didn’t know where the hell I was. I felt disoriented as I walked for what seemed like hours but every time I got close to the town something would push me back. I knew was there but something was blocking me. My head hurt and I was afraid that I had hurt my baby. I held my stomach protectively as I continued to walk. I was tired, hungry and scared as hell. I didn’t have my phone because it didn’t travel with me. Wade and the guys must be going out of their minds. As I walked I started to feel my grandmother was near because I could feel her magic, but I also knew she was tired. As I walked my head began to hurt more like tiny fingers trying to dig into my brain. I remembered what Demitri had told me when we talked about the possibility of my demon side coming out, so I locked down my mind trying to protect myself but the feeling continued. I looked up at the sky and realized it had gotten dark and I felt like I was in the middle of nowhere and something was following me. I was about to try and teleport again when my head felt like it was going to explode. My legs got weaker and I got lightheaded and I heard Dom’s voice calling out to me right before I passed out.}
ReplyDelete* Though I could sense her vitals were relatively normal, the female wasn't waking up and that made me nervous. Especially since she was expecting. * We should get her to +Julian Takumi. * Wade and Lettie both looked at me. * He's our Pack Doctor. He'll take very good care of her. * Lettie looked at Wade and the male nodded. * Climb into my pickup, I'll call him on our way back into town. He can be at his office by the time we get there. Lettie and Matthew climbed back into the jeep. Wade carried his mate and sat inside the pickup holding her in his lap. Dominic jumped in the back. * Wouldn't you rather ride in the jeep? * He shook his head no, a serious look on his face. * If she should wake and freak out before she realizes she was rescued, she could teleport again. I can follow her, but it's easier if I'm aware that it is happening. I won't leave her side until I know she's okay." Okay. * I climbed into my pickup and radioed the rest of the enforcers letting them know the female had been found and to meet us back at the randevu point so Lettie could let us back in. Then I dialed Julian. * "Slade, is it Kaiyo? Have you gotten a lead?" * I sighed. * I wish I could say yes, but I can't. I have a female who needs your attention. Could you meet us at your office? We're about 10 minutes out. "Of course. I'll be there as soon as possible." Thank you, Julian. * I hung up the phone and followed the jeep back to town. *
