As we made our way back to the police station I could see the enforcer named Cole Ross as he was putting the last of the large crystals into the ground in the center of town. I nodded as the protective bubble formed. I watched as the towns people stopped walking or doing whatever they were doing and looked around, fear on some of their faces. I looked up into my rear view mirror and looked into Kimiko’s eyes and tried to give her a reassuring smile. Turning the corner I pulled into the parking lot and got out of my Jeep and watched as the others found spaces to park and got out of their cars and walked over to me, and we all started for the building. I was just to the steps of the building when I heard my name being called. “Mrs. Blackstone?” I turned to face Cole as he looked down at me. “If you’re looking for Vincent and Ian they will be around back. Beck has the towns people coming here to get the crystals. We will then go house to house and check anyone that doesn’t show up.” I nodded, trying as I tried to clear my head. I was getting weaker by the minute I needed to call the others to reinforce the spell and keep it going. But I’d have to speak with Beck about that. Okay, show me the way and we can get started!

    * I watched as the pack gathered into the yard of the station, mostly males but some of the unmated females had shown also. A few had stopped and acquired about Jordan's well being. I didn't say too much, wanting to keep her condition to myself and family. The crowd was loud and I needed to quiet them down. Jumping up on the bench, I let out a howl that turned everyone's attention to me. Suddenly it was so quiet you could hear the rustle of the wind through the trees and all eyes were on me. I saw Kimiko, Julian, Takahiro and Reese stand off to the side of the crowd as Miss Blackstone stood beside me. * I'm sure some of you have heard that their was a kidnapping in the middle of the night. * There were a few audible gasps. * +Kaiyo Nakatomi was taken from her home in the middle of the night. We don't know a lot of details, but we do believe that a witch is involved. I'm sure a few of you felt the ripple of power that seemed to cover our town just a few minutes ago. Miss Blackstone, a well known powerful witch has agreed to help us protect the pack and fight to get Kaiyo back. She has put a protection spell up around McGregor, but she will also need each person to carry one of these crystals on you at all times and also have one in your home. * I held up a crystal that seemed to glow a bright green. Enforcers began to move through the crowd to pass them out to each person. * Not only will this help protect you, but It will also notify us if the enemy comes within the spelled area. If you should come across someone you don't know, consider them an enemy. Contact myself or one of my enforcers, do not engage in a fight. * I looked over at Bernice who was crossing off the names of the people she saw at the meeting, we needed a list of those who did not show so we could send enforcers to their houses and make sure they all had a crystal and understood how dire the situation was right now. * I need each of you to see Bernice before you leave, so we can catch up with those who couldn't make it to the meeting. Be vigilant as you go about your day.

    I watched as Slade spoke to everyone and when he was done he looked down at me, smiling. “Do you have anything to add?” Smiling back I nodded. Yes! He jumped off of the bench and helped me step up onto it. I looked out at the crowd as they looked at me, waiting for me to speak.* The crystals are very safe and once you place them to your heart and in your home no one else will be able to use them. I watched as parents took crystals and placed them to their children’s hearts then put them in their child’s pockets before doing the same to themselves. Others helped any elderly that were in the crowd. I turned to Slade and he helped me down. I saw Julian make his way over to me as he removed his cell phone from his ear. “I have a friend that needs a few of the crystals along with her guard. I’ll also take mine. I need one for my home and one for the clinic.” I turned to the bag that held the crystals and pulled out the crystals and handed them to him then I handed one to Kimiko , Takahiro and Reese. Julian thanked me then turned to leave. Julian, once I speak to +Beck Hadrian and get some rest I’ll call you and we will start the search again. *He nodded. “Thank you for all your help.” He turned and I watched as he and the others moved to the back of the crowd. Closing my eyes I felt bad that I hadn’t found his sister. I opened my eyes when I felt Beck’s powerful Ora. He walked over to where I stood with Slade. “Has everyone received their crystals?” Slade shook his head as he met Beck’s eyes. “No! Bernice is checking off everyone that is here so we know who hasn’t come into town. The enforcers will make some house calls and make sure all our people get them.” Beck nodded. “Good, I’m sending everyone home so we can get started with going out to the homes of the others.” He started to turn so he could address everyone and I cleared my throat.* Beck, I’d like to request that my coven come here to help me maintain the spell. We are connected by blood and the spells I’ve done will get stronger. “What do you mean connected by blood?” Beck said, his brow raised.* They took a blood oath when they joined my coven. Most covens don’t do that but they wanted me to know they would be loyal to only me. He didn’t say anything and I could see he was thinking about what I had said, so I kept my eyes on his and waited for his answer.

    * I didn't understand witch craft or covens because my experience with witches had been limited to Loretta. She was the first witch I'd ever known. * They're welcome. If their loyal to you, I'll be loyal to them. * She smiled and I saw how tired she looked. * Thank you, Beck. I know this has been challenging for you and I apologize for that. * I touched her arm to help her down off the bench. * We would have been in much worse shape had you not been here. You should rest. I'll make sure the crystals are distributed. If your coven sisters need transportation, I'll be sure to supply it. * Loretta nodded. * Thank you. * She went to move past me when her legs buckled. I caught her and swung her up. * I'm sorry...the spells...make me weak. * I looked at Slade. * We need to get her back to her cabin. * She struggled to get down. * My Jeep .. * I tightened my hold on her. * We'll get your Jeep. But you need to rest. You're no good to Kaiyo dead on your feet. * She nodded and I moved to my truck. * Slade, pass me the crystals for Rae and Thomas. * Loretta nodded. * And your cabin, too. * Slade handed me three of them. As soon as I took them in my palm, they pulsed and turned green. Power emanated from them to my arm. I slid Loretta into the passenger seat. She could hardly hold her eyes open. I turned to Slade. * I'm going to take her home, then make sure Rae and Thomas are protected. I'll be back to help distribute the rest. * I looked to Bernice. * I want a copy of the list of those who didn't show on my desk. We're going to be addressing those that choose to ignore a direct order from their Alpha and his chosen enforcers. * Bernice saluted me in her sassy way and I got in the truck to take Loretta home and then get to my family to protect them. *

* Raechel Hadrian​​ was finally sleeping as I quietly dressed and left the house. I had to deal with Mia before I dealt with the females of the pack. I was still furious, but everything with Jordan McCormick​​ overshadowed it. I still needed to tell Mikaela Kieschnick​​. Maybe I'd call Damon Kieschnick​​ first. Let him decide the best way to tell her. She'd taken to Jordan right off the bat and I think Jordan had loved Mik too. I kicked the truck engine over and rubbed my hands together. It was cold and the sky was just turning a bright orange in the eastern sky. I didn't relish the tasks ahead. I put the truck in gear and headed into town. We didn't have a large police department. It was a few offices for Slade Michaels and Cole Ross, the other enforcers were directed by them. Slade and I had talked about bringing Vincent Gaines on, but it hadn't gotten any further when we were called to help Bianca. Now that the females had pulled the stunt they did, he may not stick around long enough for me to offer him the position. We had eight holding cells, each one made with reinforced silver. They stayed empty most of the time with the exception of a drunk or two needing to sleep off their drink. I parked in the space designated for me and made my way inside. * Alpha. * Bernice ran the front desk and she greeted me with a smile. * Good morning, Bernice. * She stood up. * You look tired, sir. * She handed me the file on Mia. This was a small town, she knew why I was here.
