Once I’d made up my mind it didn’t take long for me to put things in motion. One of my coven members was a real estate agent and he had my house on the market by the end of the day. I’d arranged for most of my furniture to be sold, so I would only take my most beloved possessions with me. I sold my old car and gotten a Jeep that was great on mileage and gas. Then I arranged to get a small Uhaul to attach to the back of my Jeep. I didn’t know where I was going but I was so ready for the change. The females of my coven helped me pack all my clothes, shoes and any other miscellaneous things I wanted to bring with me. My spell books were packed and put in the trailer along with all my legal books. I knew wherever I made my next home I would be needing both. I put a suitcase in the back of the Jeep so I would be able to have easy excess when stopping at hotels. Smiling, I hugged the members of my coven and promised to call and let someone know where I was every night, as well as inform them when I found a town I liked. Thomas made sure my bikes were put on the back of the Jeep before turning to me.

“I wish you’d take one of the males with you. I’d feel a helluva lot better.” I raised a brow and put my hands on my hips. I’ll be fine, and besides I’ve been taking care of myself for hundreds of years. Stop worrying! Getting into the Jeep, I put on my hat and sunglasses before turning on the engine. I waved one last time to my friends and yes, my family before pulling out of the driveway. I made one last stop at the bank on my way out of town. I informed the bank manager that once I found my new home I would make arrangements to have my money transferred to my new bank. “I’ll have everything ready to go as soon as I hear from you.” He smiled and thanked me for my years of business. I left the bank and it wasn’t long before I was on the highway heading for my new life. But I was going to need to make one last change. I was going to need to say a much needed goodbye to this elderly face and body. As a witch, I didn’t age and it would be nice not to have to use this spell ever again. I made sure to set the supplies I needed in a box in the passenger seat and when I was out of the state and was sure no one I knew in the town I had lived in for over 40 years was near, I pulled over and got ready to cast the spell that would give me back the face that I had not seen in over 40 years. I turned off the engine and looked around as I got everything I needed. I made sure I was alone one last time and when I was sure I was the only one on the dirt road, I lit the two white candles and took the small watch in my hand and whispered the words that were part of my memory.
Reverse the time for this spell of mine. I hold this clock to turn back the time on this body of mine. I am a young, healthy, vibrant female of 35. I repeated the words twice more then blew out the candles. I looked back in the rear view mirror and smiled when I saw the face of my youth. I put everything back in the box, turned the engine on and headed for a new start. I had driven through 4 states and it was almost 10 pm when I finally decided to pull into a hotel for the night. I pulled into the parking lot and turned off the Jeep. I grabbed my handbag and my keys then headed inside. A young man was at the counter when I entered. I smiled at him and he smiled and nodded. “Hello ma’am! Welcome to Days Inn.” Hello, I’m going to need a room for the night. “Yes, ma’am.” He started typing as soon as I gave him my information then handed me a keycard along with the credit card. I thanked him and said goodnight and headed to my Jeep to get my suitcase. I was about to go back into the hotel when my cellphone rang. I stopped walking, let go of my suitcase then dug my phone from my handbag. I looked at the name on the display and smiled. I hit the button and said. Lily, what a ni ce surprise!
*After I hung up with Lily, I headed to my room as I started to make plans and work on my new clients case. Pulling out my laptop, I turned it out and got out something to sleep in and clothes for tomorrow as I waited for the computer to boot up. I was going to need more information such as names and a few other things, but I could print up the paperwork now, then get the rest once I got to North Dakota. It was going to be somewhat tricky with the shifter aspect but it was doable. I smiled to myself as I realized this was something that I needed and it felt good to think of working as an attorney again. Taking a seat at the desk I went to the dot gov website for North Dakota I found the forms I needed and emailed them to myself. Once I got to McGregor I’d print them out before I met with my clients. I shutdown the computer and put it away then headed into the bathroom and took a shower. I had to smile at myself in the mirror when I saw myself. It had been so long since I had seen this face looking back at me. Shaking my head I turned on the water and took a quick shower, dried off then dressed in the pajamas I pulled out. I looked at myself in the mirror again and realized that I needed a new wardrobe. Yes, I was stylish but I was going to need clothes for a younger female. Stepping back into the bedroom I picked up my phone and dialed Thomas.*
ReplyDelete“It’s about time you called. I was getting worried.” *I shook my head at the way he was going on. I was a 300 + year old witch and could take care of myself.* I’m fine Thomas! I stopped at a Days Inn about four states over. “I know you can take care of yourself Lettie but I worry about you.” *I knew he had feelings for me but I wasn’t interested in having a relationship with one of my coven members. It was unprofessional and I didn’t need the other members of the coven whispering.* I’m going to be heading to North Dakota when I leave here. I got a call from Prophet Lily. She’s there working and called me in to help with a problem someone is having. “Really? She must really need your help. How long will you be there?” *I thought about it and realized that I had headed in the direction of North Dakota without understanding why. My Intuition was working and it was leading me to North Dakota.* Anyway, that’s where I’m headed. I’ll check out of here in the morning and will call on my next stop. *Thomas was silent for a moment and I knew he was going to start up again about someone coming with me, but I stopped him before he started.* I’m fine and I don’t need or want someone following me like I’m a child. Have you decided if you were staying there or finding another coven ? I think you should think about finding another mate. It’s been a long time. He didn’t say anything and I knew he was hurt. He had feelings for me but I just wasn’t interested in becoming involved with him or any other member of my coven. “I haven’t thought about a new coven. I thought I’d follow you. I know you aren’t interested in a relationship with me, Lettie. But I can still care about you.”
*I sucked in a breath.* I just don’t want to go down that road with you. I love you but only as a member of the coven. If and when I choose to become interested in a male again, it won’t be someone like a brother to me. Now, you get some rest and I’ll talk to you tomorrow. Good night! *I hung up the phone then cast a protection spell around my room. After all I was a single female, alone. Turning off the lights I drifted off to sleep. Morning came early but I slept very well. I got up, showered and dressed then packed up my things. I had breakfast then checked out. I took the handle of my suitcase and turned to leave but stopped. Turning back to the human female at the desk a cleared my throat, and when she looked up and smiled, she said.*
“Can I help you with something else?” Yes! Can you tell me where the closest mall or clothing store is? “I’d be happy too.” *She went to the next desk and pulled out a pamphlet then handed it to me.* “This is a list of the nearest shopping centers with directions.” *Smiling, I took the pamphlet as I thanked her and headed out to my Jeep. It didn’t take long for me too find a center and get everything I needed. I got some sandwiches, some drinks and some chips. I wasn’t going to stop again unless I had to use the restroom. I put my new clothes and things in the back of the Jeep, along with my suitcase. I put my food on the floor in the passenger side, turning on some music as I made my way to the highway and North Dakota.
