* I was on the phone for two hours with a dealership. They had the range rover I wanted and agreed to have it delivered. I paid extra for that but, the important thing was, I'd have a vehicle. After hanging up with them, I showered and dressed, checked my phone for any messages from Kimiko. I had none. That bothered me to no end. I decided that once the SUV was delivered, I would go to find her. We needed to talk.*

*Once the keys were in my hand and the salesman was gone, I got in and headed toward town. I drove around in the hopes of seeing her and, I did. She was by the diner, heading towards her vehicle. I parked and got out. Just as she reached her car, she saw me and stared me down. *

    Kimiko, you have to stop.
    * She glared at me and I braced myself for whatever she would do or say to me. I knew she was hurt but, her drinking and, I'm sure she was doing a lot of it because I could smell it on her, was going to hurt her worse in the long run. She said nothing so, I did.* I don't expect you to talk to me but eventually you will have to. I think Senichi is well aware that we failed but, besides him, I want you to know that I do love you. I was wrong in lying to you but, I did it thinking it would protect you. I should have told you straight up about his plan, and mine. Please, come to the cabin when you want to talk or go to dinner with me. Let me explain it better.

    * My eyes began to fill with tears. I turned away from him and he placed his hand on the door so I couldn't open it. * "Kimiko please." * I sniffled. * Did you know I was adopted? "What?" * I nodded. * Senichi had my parents killed, so he could ascend to Alpha. Only my grandfather was able to get Julian and escape the battle. He was raised here in the United States. Our grandfather kept us a secret from each other, but kept in contact with Kaiyo's mom, to make sure I was okay. * I turned back around to face Taka. * Did you know? * Taka shook his head no. * "I promise you, I had no idea." * I nodded and swallowed. * Julian is the true Alpha of our pack, that's why he sent us to kill him. * Taka ran a finger down my cheek and I shivered. * "I'm sorry for all the pain my father has caused you, but you know that I am nothing like him. I love you and I know you have strong feelings for me." * I searched his eyes, I couldn't lie, but it didn't mean I was ready to forgive him. *

    * I wanted to hug her to me. Promise her that nothing would ever hurt her again but, I also didn't want to push her. She had to want to be with me, I'd never force anything on her. * When you want to talk more, you know where to find me and Kim? Please be careful. I can tell you've been drinking too much. You reek of it. * Before she could say anything, I kissed her forehead and headed back to my SUV. I hoped she'd come to me and want to talk, maybe more but, I knew I'd have to earn her trust before anything like that happened between us.*

* Raechel Hadrian​​ was finally sleeping as I quietly dressed and left the house. I had to deal with Mia before I dealt with the females of the pack. I was still furious, but everything with Jordan McCormick​​ overshadowed it. I still needed to tell Mikaela Kieschnick​​. Maybe I'd call Damon Kieschnick​​ first. And I shouldn't have to tell you that if you attempt to come back to McGregor land, you'll be killed on the spot. * I slammed the bars closed. * I hope that you take this chance and become a better person. Perhaps find a pack that will accept you. * She hit the bars, screaming. * I don't need you or your fucking pack! I didn't act alone! And everyone knows that the only reason you won't banish the others is because of who they mated and your mate is one! * I growled. * You know nothing of what I will do. Don't push me, Mia. It's too easy for me to have you executed. And it'd be supported. * I left her screaming behind me as I made my way back upstairs. I was due to meet with Jules, Meghan and Chloe in an hour. I wanted to be done with this whole thing so I could move on. I had bigger issues to deal with and this was just pissing me off. I left Mias file for Cole to finish up and then headed to my office for round two. *
