I was bone tired, my nightmares decided to come back the night before I started my new "job". With getting no sleep, I got out of bed early and went for a short run to clear my head. I could not get the look on Kaiyo Nakatomi face out my head. The morning air was chill but nice. The run laster only an hour since I had to get ready for my day. Showering and getting dressed, I jumped into my truck and headed into town. I was starving and I knew the diner would be open to get breakfast. Slade had text me the address, time, and dates I would be working. I was not to concerned about the name. Once I had my breakfast sandwiches and coffee, I made my way to the address. My new truck has a nice GPS system. Checking the time I was twenty minutes early. Pulling in front of the house I looked and tilted my head. This was doctor Julian Takumi home. Vincent said it was a female I was guarding. Did he have a sister? Deciding to not worry, I took out one breakfast sandwich and ate it. I figure the long drive to Minot I could eat the others. Finishing my sandwich, I cleaned up and go out my truck. I was curious now to who I was going to guard. Walking up to the front door, I knocked and waited. The doc had a nice home. Looking around, I heard Julian then the door opened. "Reese! Hey man its good to see you. Hows the arm?" Hey doc, I'mm good. My arm is great. I am here to guard a female while at college but I think Slade gave me the wrong address. Julian held his coffee mug and chuckled. "No, you are in the right place. I have two sisters. Very long story but my youngest sister is the one you are here to pick up. I know I don't have to tell you how important this is. Please keep her safe, Reese." I nodded I will do my absolute best, Julian. He smiled and turned. Ahh, here she is now. Reese my youngest sister Kaiyo." I smelled her before I saw her. The second our eyes met my body stiffened. Tiger lily and spring filled the air all around me. Fucking hell it was her! I could not take my eyes off her, she was beautiful. No stop it! Clearing my throat I looked at Julian who was now looking at us with his brow raised. Um... hi.. I'm Reese. Reese Wallace.

    Shaking my head, I watched her walk to my truck. I followed her with my eyes and heard Julian Chuckle. "Good luck with her." Turning to him I nodded. Thank, I have a feeling i'm going to need it. Hurrying over, I opened my truck door for her and grinned. Kaiyo. Well, well, well. Feisty little wolf. Chuckling, I hurried around to get in and start up my truck. I heard her growl as she got in and closed the door. We have at least an hour drive to her university. I already put in the destination into my GPS. Grinning I looked at her "What? Why are you staring at me?" Rolling my eyes I put my truck in drive and drove away from her house. You. Why do you need protection? "Didn't they tell you?" No they didn't. My friend didn't know all the details and the beta only text me your address and schedule. So tell me why do you need protection? She huffed at me. "Don't boss me around." I chuckled shaking my head. It was a question. I think its a good question for me to know. Turning right onto the highway. I dug into my bad and pulled out another breakfast sandwich. Do you want one? She shook her head. "No thank you." She looked out the window and began to tell me why she needed protection. I ate and listened to her. The sound of her voice was like music to my ears. She was beautiful. Her smell covered me inside and out. Fuck! This was harder than I thought. When she was done I nodded. I won't let anyone hurt you. I saw a hint of a smile and my fucking heart melted away. "Um... thank you." You're welcome. Kaiyo. I smiled. You are Julian younger sister? How young are you? 21, 22, 23?

    * I couldn't believe I was doing this. This male who seems to be getting under my skin, who also infuriates me in so many ways, was going to be protecting me while I was in college. How was I supposed to concentrate on anything, when the moment we are together by mind gravitates to him? Even when were not together, I think of him. * To make a long story short, the Alpha where I came from is a power hungry mongrel and will kill anyone who gets in his way. Since Takahiro and Kimiko didn't do what they were sent to do, eventually the Alpha will have us killed. * I told him the shortened version of why I needed protection and he seemed to accept I and nodded. * "I won't let anyone hurt you." * I smiled as the butterflies in my belly took flight.     Grinning I looked at her occasionally as I drove. Dame right I wanted to know. She picked a fight and slapped me. “Do I really have to?” She whispered and I nodded. Yes, yes you have to. You give me all this attitude like I killed your dog and then at the bar you go off like a jealous ex. I said to her but in a calming voice. “I was not jealous!” She snapped at me. Oh you were jealous. I get it. You’re young and when you meet your mate it’s sometimes hard. You know you’re mine. My eyes went wide, the words just flew out my mouth. Fuck! I did not want to just blurt that out. She just stared at me. Leaning my head back against the head rest I sighed. I um... “I’m yours?” I didn’t mean to say that. “Then what do you mean? Yes I overreacted at the bar. I’ve come to terms that you are just a crush that I am now over. I suggest you get over it also. I’m here to learn not flirt especially with you! She shot back at me. I guess I deserve that for just blurting that out. I mean she is young after all. You’re right. I’m sorry. I should not of said that. I apologize and I won’t bring it up again. * Raechel Hadrian​​ was finally sleeping as I quietly dressed and left the house. I had to deal with Mia before I dealt with the females of the pack.
