* I helped Meg put all the cleaning supplies away before leaving the Police Station. We jumped into my Range Rover and I drove Meg home, Tyler followed behind me in his pickup. * " I can't believe you're doing this. I hope you and Vincent know what you're getting yourself into." * I glanced over at Meg while I drove. * Michael has had a hard life. He deserves a chance at a better one. He has no one. * Meg nodded. * "Still, it's not gonna be just you and Vincent anymore. I couldn't share Ian right now." * I smirked. * Meg people have kids all the time and still maintain a good, healthy relationship. Vincent will always be the number one male in my life. * I pulled up in front of Meg's house and Rocky walked around the side of the house. We hugged and Meg whispered in my ear. * "You have such a good heart, Michael is lucky to have you." * I pulled back. * Thank you. * Meg jumped out and greeted Rocky. I was excited about getting home. I had a list of things I wanted to do before Vincent and Michael got here. I sped home and parked in the garage. Tyler hot on my tail, he parked in his usual spot. * "Damn Chloe, why the hurry?" * He approached me in the garage, he was a little cross. * Sorry, I just have some things I need to get done. Listen Tyler, the teenage boy, Michael who was in lock up. * Tyler nodded. * He's going to be living with Vincent and I for a while. * Tyler shook his head. * "Chloe, he's trouble." No, he's a teenage boy who just needs someone to believe in him. I'm not saying it's going to be an easy feat. But he deserves a chance. So please. Look out for him too. * Tyler stared at me as I pleaded. Finally he relented. * "Okay." * I smiled. * Thank you, now get out of my garage I have things to do. * Tyler walked out shaking his head and mumbling something about women. *

* I went inside the mud room hanging my keys and jacket up, I slipped my shoes off and headed up stairs. I walked down the hall and looked between the 3 bedroom doors, trying to decide which room would be best for Michael. I picked the third one. He was a teenager and would want his privacy, but we were still on the same level if he needed anything. It was also the most spacious and I thought he would appreciate the large window. It would almost be like sleeping outside. I kept the empty rooms clean even though no one used them, because you never knew when you might have a guest. Pulling the bedding out of the closet, I made the bed up with fresh sheets and blankets. Satisfied with the room. I went to the bathroom across the hall and stocked it with towels and washcloths. I knew he would need toiletry items, but Vincent texted earlier saying he was going to take him shopping and they would take care of that.
Looking at my watch, I decided to start supper. I had already done the prep work for spicy avocado chicken enchiladas I had planned for supper. Now I just needed to cook the chicken and put everything together. Once finished, I placed it into the oven to bake and cleaned up my mess. After setting the table for three, I placed salsa in a bowl and chips on a plate surrounding the salsa. I threw together a salad, just in case the enchilada's wasn't enough. I wasn’t sure how hungry Michael would be. I fiddled around the house nervously while the enchiladas baked and I waited for the males to get home. *
