* I gave Cassandra a small smile and slid into the booth in the back corner of the bar. It was dark and chances are I wouldn't be noticed, I really wasn't in the mood for any company. * "Hello Kimiko. What can I get you today?" Just my usual please. * Cassandra frowned, looked around the bar and sat down in the booth across from me. * "You know, you spend an awful lot of time in here drinking. I sighed. * Fine I'll have my usual and some fried mushrooms? * Cassandra smiled. * "I'll get right on that." * She stood and walked up to the bar. My phone rang, I didn't have to look to see who it was, I already knew. I'd been ignoring his calls, but I knew at some point I was gonna have to face him. I steeled myself and answered my phone. *Takahira, naze anata wa watashi ni denwa shi tsudzukemasu ka? (Takahiro, why do you keep calling me?) * I heard his sigh of relief when I answered the phone. * " Kimiko, watashi ni jibun jishin o setsumei suru chansu o ataenakereba naranai. ("Kimiko, you have to give me a chance to explain myself. Please.") * His voice sounded so good to my ears. I blinked away the tears that tried to form. Damn I missed him. * Watashi wa taka, watashi wa junbi ga dekite inai koto wa dekimasen. Anata wa watashi o kizutsuke, watashi o shin'yō shinakatta. Jurian ga watashi no kyōdaidatta koto o shitte imashita ka? Watashinokazoku ni nani ga okotta no ka shitte imashita ka? (I can't Taka, I'm not ready. You hurt me, didn't trust me. Did you know that Julian was my brother? Did you know about what happened to my family?)

    * I closed my eyes and just listened to her voice, to her pain. I felt horrible for lying to her but, I felt I had to at the time. Now, I know I should have just told her about my plans. Her question about Julian had me snapped back to the here and now.* I didn't know he was your brother. I was told the same things you were. That he was a target because he killed your family. That was all I knew of him. * I sighed into the phone, hoping she was listening. * After my arrest, spending time in my cell I thought about everything. I have some flash back memories of Julian but we were young. I also thought of you and, how much I know I hurt you.I do love you Kimiko. I should have told you the truth about Senichi but, like a wolf protecting his own, I tried to protect you, even though you can protect yourself. I should have known better, Kim.
    Please, meet me anywhere you choose so we can talk. I need to know you're okay.
    Kimiko? * I could hear her breathing but she was so quiet. I waited to see if she would answer me.*

    * I took a big gulp of my drink that Cassandra had placed in front of me. Normally, I would go to him when things got tough. The feel of his arms around me felt like home, though I'd never told him that. * I moved all my money to a new bank here in the US. I've been watching Senichi and right now he doesn't let on that he thinks anything is up. Kaiyo started college. Julian was able to arrange for a guard to drive her to and from college and be with her while she's there. "That's all good to hear Kimiko, but I want to know about you. Are you alright?" * I let out a shaky breath. * No Taka, I'm not. Goodbye. "Kimiko please, let me come to you. Where are you?" * Tears began to slide down my face. I hung up the phone without answering him and held my hand up for Cassandra to bring me another drink. She nodded and brought that and the mushrooms I had ordered to make her happy. * "You okay sweetie?" * I nodded. * Yep, I'll be fine after a few more of these. Keep them coming please. * I dismissed her, I could see the disappointment on her face. *

    Kimiko please, let me come to you. Where are you? * She hung up. I knew from the sounds in the background that she was at a bar but, without a vehicle I was stuck here. I set my phone down before I smashed it out of anger. I know Kim is hurt but, what she's doing to herself by drinking..It would take more than an apology to get her to talk to me. I was glad Kaiyo was in school again and with a guard. They were both safe but, we still had the threat of Senichi looming over us. Not knowing what else to do, I went to my room . A shower and some sleep would help. Tomorrow I'd make some calls, get a vehicle and find Kimiko. In person it would harder for her to push me away.*

* Raechel Hadrian​​ was finally sleeping as I quietly dressed and left the house. I had to deal with Mia before I dealt with the females of the pack. I was still furious, but everything with Jordan McCormick​​ overshadowed it. I still needed to tell Mikaela Kieschnick​​. Maybe I'd call Damon Kieschnick​​ first. Let him decide the best way to tell her. She'd taken to Jordan right off the bat and I think Jordan had loved Mik too. I kicked the truck engine over and rubbed my hands together. It was cold and the sky was just turning a bright orange in the eastern sky. I didn't relish the tasks ahead. I put the truck in gear and headed into town. We didn't have a large police department. It was a few offices for Slade Michaels and Cole Ross, the other enforcers were directed by them. Slade and I had talked about bringing Vincent Gaines on, but it hadn't gotten any further when we were called to help Bianca. Now that the females had pulled the stunt they did, he may not stick around long enough for me to offer him the position. We had eight holding cells, each one made with reinforced silver. They stayed empty most of the time with the exception of a drunk or two needing to sleep off their drink. I parked in the space designated for me and made my way inside. * Alpha. * Bernice ran the front desk and she greeted me with a smile. * Good morning, Bernice. * She stood up. * You look tired, sir. * She handed me the file on Mia. And I will not allow it. * She was sobbing now. * I just wanted Julian. I just wanted him to love me! * I shook my head. * He doesn't feel the same, Mia. The last female like you caused a lot of hurt as well and she almost killed members of my pack. I cannot stand by and let this happen. I will not. You broke trust. And you crossed the line thinking you could seduce me. * She hit her knees. * Alpha, please! Give me another chance! I will stay away from Julian! I'll do anything, ANYTHING to make this right. You will have exactly two hours to pack and clear out your things. * She was still sobbing. * Where will I go? * I stepped out of the cell. * I don't know, Mia, nor do I care. But you won't be here. And I shouldn't have to tell you that if you attempt to come back to McGregor land, you'll be killed on the spot. * I slammed the bars closed. * I hope that you take this chance and become a better person.
