* Kaiyo was excited about everything here. It amazed me that such a tiny female could be so loud and giggly, could eat so much and stand in awe watching the wildlife coming from the woods. Kimiko had stayed up with her for a few nights, just talking and laughing. Last night I had to get out of bed and go to the living room to tell them it was time for bed. Both of them mocked me, giggling. I growled, giving them both a glare that said I wasn't kidding. They got the hint and, I finally got some sleep. Today, we went into town for groceries and of course we had to stop for ice cream. Kaiyo said she loved the town, how friendly everyone was. I was glad because we'd probably be staying in the states and she was transitioning wonderfully. Kimiko was in the kitchen with Kaiyo. They were preparing steaks for the grill, chopping lettuce and vegetables for salad and if course talking and laughing. I had just turned the tv off after watching the news and was headed to the kitchen to help them when Kaiyo cried out. I rushed to them. Kimiko had a towel pressed against Kaiyo's left hand and blood dripped onto the floor.* What happened? * Kaiyo had tears streaking her face, biting her lip so, Kimiko answered for her. " She was slicing cucumbers, we were talking and she cut her hand pretty bad." I moved to her and gently moved the towel from Kaiyo's hand so I could see the damage. She cut her left index finger across, down to the bone. " I was just talking, excited and didn't realize, Taka." I shushed her calmly and moved the towel back, smiling at her.* Kim, we have to take her to get stitches. It'll heal but, we don't want to chance an inflection. Let's get her in the SUV. I guess we'll be meeting the good doctor sooner than we thought.

    I was surprised about the fact that both Takahiro and Kimiko had guns but nothing shocked me more than the way Kimiko killed that shifter. Something was off about them and I wondered if Beck was aware of just how much skill at killing they both seemed to have. I watched in amazement as once again Kimiko charged one of the other shifters. Takahiro growled low and moved to take out the other shifter when I heard a click and both Kimiko and Takahiro stopped and as one we all turned to see more shifters and Kaiyo crying as she stood between the 6 males, a knife pointed at her jugular. “Ain’t this cute! The doc done got some help. Well, I guess we done have to kill lem all.” Another male pulled Kaiyo close and licked the side of her face and she whimpered. “All sept this here sweet thang. I’ve gots me some plans for her.” Kimiko growled and moved to try and grab her sister but the first guy pointed his gun at her as Takahiro grabbed Kimiko by the arm. “Don’t, Kim.” Another shifter grinned as he spoke up. “That’s right, Kim. Don’t ya dare move or sweet thang as Bud called her will be the first to die.” How the fuck was I going to do now, and where the fuck were the enforcers? I opened myself up so I could read everyone in the room. No surprise that Kimiko and Takahiro were blocked. I’d only be able to read small bits and pieces from them since they got here. It was like they knew what my ability was and were deliberately blocked. But the others were very easy to read. It seemed their plan backfired. Mia being taken then killed had messed up them trying to take the town. Now with both Mia’s brothers in lock up and most of their rogue friends dead, they needed to get out before Beck and his enforcers found them. I grinned inwardly to myself. This I could use. First I sent out an S.O.S. of sorts. I needed Slade, Beck or any of the enforcers to hear it and come in to help. Then I started to plant discord in the minds of the rogues. When I was sure I was getting to them, I turned to Takahiro and Kimiko hoping they would understand but before I could Kimiko spoke. “Dō shimashou? (What do we do now?)” I was about to answer when the shifter holding Kaiyo growled. “Shut the fuck up. No talking in that there strange languages.” You won’t get out of this town alive. By now all your so called friends are dead and the alpha and his enforcers have the town blocked off. They will kill you.

    * I looked at the stranger before moving to Kimiko's side. He had to be a pack member, so I held my hand out to him.* I'm Takahiro and this my mate Kimiko, her younger sister Kaiyo. * I saw Kaiyo out of the corner of my eye, she looked between me and her sister in shock. I hoped the others would just think it was because of the attack and not because it wasn't true. " I'm Slade, Beta of the pack." He nodded to another male just outside. "That's Reese, he's a bear shifter, and a friend, a pack member after today." I nodded towards the male and the others Slade called enforcers. Kimiko was comforting Kaiyo who was still silently crying.* I think I should get these two home now. * Slade nodded. " I'd like to meet with you, bring the Alpha after we get this mess cleaned up." I smiled slightly.* Yes, please. We look forward to meeting him. * With that, I thanked the doctor and gave him some money for the emergency visit. He tried to refuse but I shook my head. He relented and I escorted Kim and her sister back out to the SUV. As we stepped out a truck pulled in. A male jumped out of the back and helped a female, she picked up a little boy. The driver helped the male from the back of the truck. They picked up a dog, easily the size of a small bear and carried him inside. The way the enforces acted and moved to help, I figured it was the Alpha. He was to busy to notice us. I hurried the girls to our vehicle and got them inside. I thought as I drove them home. Now that we've met the doctor face to face, our next move was his death.*

* Raechel Hadrian​​ was finally sleeping as I quietly dressed and left the house. I had to deal with Mia before I dealt with the females of the pack. I was still furious, but everything with Jordan McCormick​​ overshadowed it. I still needed to tell Mikaela Kieschnick​​. Maybe I'd call Damon Kieschnick​​ first. Let him decide the best way to tell her. She'd taken to Jordan right off the bat and I think Jordan had loved Mik too. I kicked the truck engine over and rubbed my hands together. It was cold and the sky was just turning a bright orange in the eastern sky. I didn't relish the tasks ahead. I put the truck in gear and headed into town. We didn't have a large police department. It was a few offices for Slade Michaels and Cole Ross, the other enforcers were directed by them. Slade and I had talked about bringing Vincent Gaines on, but it hadn't gotten any further when we were called to help Bianca. Now that the females had pulled the stunt they did, he may not stick around long enough for me to offer him the position. We had eight holding cells, each one made with reinforced silver. They stayed empty most of the time with the exception of a drunk or two needing to sleep off their drink. I parked in the space designated for me and made my way inside. * Alpha. * Bernice ran the front desk and she greeted me with a smile. * Good morning, Bernice. * She stood up. * You look tired, sir. * She handed me the file on Mia. This was a small town, she knew why I was here. I'm banishing you, Mia. * Tears filled her eyes. * Beck...I mean, Alpha, sir....please. * I steeled myself against her pleas. * I don't trust you. In fact, you attempted to seduce me, which means you will stop at nothing to get what you want. I have yet to determine what exactly that is. But its detrimental to my pack. And I will not allow it. * She was sobbing now. * I just wanted Julian. I just wanted him to love me! * I shook my head. * He doesn't feel the same, Mia. The last female like you caused a lot of hurt as well and she almost killed members of my pack. I cannot stand by and let this happen. I will not. You broke trust. And you crossed the line thinking you could seduce me. * She hit her knees. * Alpha, please! Give me another chance! I will stay away from Julian! I'll do anything, ANYTHING to make this right. Just please, don't banish me!! * I shook my head as I gave the signal to be let out. * You'll be escorted out tomorrow morning. You will have exactly two hours to pack and clear out your things. * She was still sobbing. * Where will I go? * I stepped out of the cell. * I don't know, Mia, nor do I care. But you won't be here. And I shouldn't have to tell you that if you attempt to come back to McGregor land, you'll be killed on the spot. * I slammed the bars closed. * I hope that you take this chance and become a better person. Perhaps find a pack that will accept you. * She hit the bars, screaming. * I don't need you or your fucking pack! I didn't act alone! And everyone knows that the only reason you won't banish the others is because of who they mated and your mate is one! * I growled. * You know nothing of what I will do. Don't push me, Mia. It's too easy for me to have you executed. And it'd be supported. * I left her screaming behind me as I made my way back upstairs. I was due to meet with Jules, Meghan and Chloe in an hour. I wanted to be done with this whole thing so I could move on. I had bigger issues to deal with and this was just pissing me off. I left Mias file for Cole to finish up and then headed to my office for round two. *
