* I rolled out a map of the town and the surrounding land that belonged to the pack. +Cole Ross, +Ian Holder and +Vincent Gaines along with a couple of other enforcers circled the table. I began to appoint search area's when screeching tires out front had all of us scrambling towards the reception area. The door flung open and a very pissed off Beck came into the Police Department. He looked at the two enforcers. * "I have two males tied up in my truck. Bring them in and lock them up, separately." * The two enforcers walked out and Beck turned back to us. * "I was checking on our group of misfits on the west edge of our ground when we were attacked by a pack of rogues. We killed all but two. They are going to need some help cleaning things up out there." * The door opened. * "You're going to fucking pay, all of you. When I get out of here, I'll gather up anyone who is left of our group and we'll come back for your females." * The enforcer grabbed the male by the back of his neck and slammed him into a cement pillar. * "Oops, sorry." * The other enforcer escorted in a young male, who was obviously shaken up. * "I swear to you, I didn't want to be a part of this." * He looked at Beck, but kept walking in the direction the enforcer led him. This riled the other male up. * "You fucking sissy, Michael. I always knew you'd be the weakling in the family. * There was another bang. * "Oomph." "Shut the hell up, or I'll shut you up permanently." * This seemed to quiet the angry male down. Cole's phone rang and he excused himself as he walked to his office and the rest of us turned back to Beck. * "The kid said they were here to get revenge on me banishing Mia. They want our females." * Cole walked back up the hall and Beck continued. * "I went by my house Rae, Thomas, Raja and Rocky are gone. And there is a dead shifter in my yard." * Cole cursed and we all looked at him. * "I just got off the phone with Tyler. They were attacked too. Tyler is moving Chloe to the designated safe house. I'm assuming that's where Rae and Thomas are at too, but we should check to be sure."

    I watched as the two males were brought into the building. The fucking talker was no doubt out of his mind because it showed in his aura. He actually believed he was getting out of here so he could gather his forces and return. But the kid was scared to death. I could see he was between a fucking rock and a crazy ass family. I was glad his crazy ass sister was dead and soon his fucked up brother would be too. I looked at Beck wondering what he was going to do with the boy. I’d have to have a talk with him. See if we could help the kid after this shit was over. I started to pull out my phone and call Chloe to check on her and thought better of it. Tyler was very good at his job and would keep her safe. Ian looked at me and I could read the emotions coming from him. And I knew he was reading the same thing off of me. What the fuck was going on? Beck ambushed, Rae’s gone with her child and guard? A dead shifter left behind? Chloe attacked and moved to the safe house? Was Meghan safe? A lot of questions rolled through my mind as I looked back at him. I turned my mind off and turned back to the matter at hand. Beck’s eyes met each of our before he began. “Tim, you and Blue stay here and guard the prisoners. I’ll have a few of the others outside to keep watch on the building and Bernice. I’ll send a few over to the clinic and help Julian. If I’m right they may have reason to blame him for what happened too.” The two enforcers nodded and Slade was Cole pulled out their phones and got to work relying Beck’s orders as the rest of us geared up to leave. It had been a while since I’d gone on a hunt like this. When I’d first started working for the mob this was the only side I showed the hunter side of my wolf and he was anxious to get out there. Everyone moved outside to their vehicles when one by one howls rent the air. I’d never heard anything like it and I turned to *+Beck Hadrian** as the energy around all of us seemed to shoot into the heavens. A low growl left every male as I spoke through my growl.* What the hell was that and what does it mean?

    * My blood ran cold when I heard the howls. Distress. They were distress calls. * What the hell was that and what does it mean? * Vincent growled out. * Trouble. It means trouble. * The call had come from the west and I knew there were more rogues. * I need every able bodied male to shift and follow me. Now. * I wasn't asking. Without missing a beat, I let the door to the office swing close as I joined the others outside. I unzipped my jacket and then whipped my t-shirt off. I stepped out of my boots and unsnapped my jeans. Bernice sucked in a breath as I dropped my jeans. * BECK! * Before she could really get warmed up, I shifted. My paws hit the concrete floor of the steps of the station without a sound. I looked back at Vincent, and snapped my teeth. Let's go! He shrugged and started stripping as did everyone else standing around us. The air shimmered with the power of the shift. Once outside, I howled back - letting everyone in the area know that we would kill those who betrayed us. I led the pack as we raced off into the wilderness. Vincent knew the call came from Meg's. Her's was the only actual safe house in the area. All of our mates were there. My mind raced with the reasons behind the attack. It had come out of nowhere and once again, I wondered how I could have failed those who depended on me. Once again, I was being challenged. As Alpha and as protector of this pack. I had to stop this madness. I had to finally exterminate all of the rogues, all those who would defy me and hurt those who followed me. And the men following behind me were going to help me do it. Slade stayed at my left side, ready to give his life it was necessary. Cole was to the right and Vincent and Ian covered my back. We came up on the yard just as I watched a bear barrel out of the bushy wilderness and grab the nearest rogue. I had no idea who - or what - he was, but I'd figure it out later. Right now, we had the advantage of surprise. I leapt up and grabbed a scruffy looking female by the neck, without hesitation, I ripped her head off. I tossed it aside as I stalked the next rogue, trusting that those who followed me were doing the same. *

    * We ran at full bore and I couldn't believe my eyes when we busted through the tree line. There were rogues everywhere, attacking the guards, trying to get to the house. The females had armed themselves and were shooting anyone who got too close. I snarled, my anger ramped up when I realized my female was in trouble. Biting into the neck of the closest rogue, I shook him violently until his head flew across the yard and his body dropped to ground in front of me. I moved onto the next one, not wasting anytime. We were outnumbered but they wouldn't prevail. Not against a pack so tightly nit as ours, not when our mates were at stake. I noticed two large wolves circling Vincent taking turns snapping at him. I knew he could probably take them, but I decided to even the odds, while they were both focused on him, I leaped onto the back of one of them knocking him to ground. Vincent attacked the other. We had them both dead within seconds. My ears tuned in to the sounds around us. There were attacks happening in town too, I hoped we didn't lose any of our own. Cole attacked a large black wolf that was charging towards Raja, Thomas's dog. He was injured, laying on the ground whimpering. Suddenly there was a deafening roar, I looked up and saw Reese standing on his back legs across the yard. That was one pissed off bear. It seemed to take everyone off guard for a couple of seconds, especially the rogues, because what pack of wolves has a fierce brown bear as part of their pack? Our's mother fuckers. I charged and went in for the next kill. *

    After the attack at Mia’s home. I had decided to not head home just yet and walk around in the woods a little. My bear was on edge. This town was my home now and after what just happened. Something told me it was not over with. There were too many foul smells in the air still. Smells that had my bear itching to come out again. Making my way up this nice path, I found another creek, not sure if it was the same one from before or not. Walking towards the creek, I stopped dead in my tracks hearing howl after howl. What the fuck was that I thought. My bear was at attention and wanting to come out. More rogues coming to attack. Letting out a loud growl. I took off into a fast run. Opening my senses, I started hearing gun shots. The closer I got, I heard females screaming, growling, and fighting. Growling, I let my shift come fast and shredded the clothes Cole gave me back at Mia’s. My bear was fucking pissed. Coming out fast I shot through the bushes roaring and attacked the first rogue I saw from behind. Tossing the dead away, I stood on my back legs roaring like a crazy rabid animal. Everyone seem to stop. The rogues looked surprised. Landing on my front legs I saw one rouge trying to jump through a window. Charging him I roared and smacked him with my ass and quickly pounced on him sinking my teeth into his jugular. No one fucks with the females of this pack or our town. Growling, I sniffed and scented Cole. Roaring I went after a black rouge that was about to attack him for saving a dog I assumed belong to one of the females. My pack dick! Shaking him till his neck snapped, I flung him aside and went after the next kill.

    * There seemed to be rogues everywhere at first. We attacked hasrd and heavy, I rven saved Thomas's big dog Raja, who from the looks of it took out a few rogues before he was hurt. I couldn't let anything happen to him and did my best to stay close. I heard Reese in his bear form and thanked the heavens he'd showed up. He even took out a black wolf that tried to attack while I was checking on Raja. There was a growl to the side of me and I spun, colliding with a rogue. We weent down fighting, snapping teeth and tearing flesh. I got ahold of his throat and ripped it out. Thete were more but we were cornering them a against the garage. Beck, Slade, Vincent, Ian, Reese and I surrounded the few left. Beck surged forward and we all moved with him. There was blood everywhere, Reese hit one rogue so hard he flew up and over Ian's truck. He hit the driveway with a sickening thud, probably dead after Reese hit him. When the dust settled, Beck howled, a signal for the others to check in. We waited silently to hear the responses, so we'd know if and where we'd be needed.*

    * A lone howl rent the air. The six of us shifted back to our human forms. Tuning my ears in on the woods around us, I didn't hear anything that sounded like a threat. The birds began to chirp, I could hear a squirrel nibbling. I heard the sounds of the females all of them breathing a sigh of relief, but still too scared to come outside and then there was Raja who whimpered, but found the strength to stand and limp back to the house to protect his family. I looked around at all the males, we were all breathing heavy and aside from a few slashes and some bruising we were all fine. I looked over towards the house where the guards paced in wolf form, still snarling as they waited for the next rogue wolf to appear. * Those males kicked ass. With the help of the females with their guns. They were able to keep the rogues back and keep your mates and family safe until we got here. * The males all nodded. I could tell everyone, including the alpha wanted to check on their mates. It saddened me that I wasn't one of them, but if I was honest with myself, my mate would have never stayed inside, she would have been fighting along beside me. I looked at the new guy, unsure where he came from. Vincent stepped forward and spoke. * "Um, Beck, Slade. This is Reese. I told you about him earlier. He came down to help Chloe and Meg with the bar. Reese, this is Beck our Alpha and Slade is our Beta." * The three of us shook hands. I knew we needed to have a talk with this guy, but after everything he has already done, It was safe to assume he was on our side. * Reese, if your up for it. Why don't you and I run back into town and see if we're needed while the rest of these guys check on their mates. * Reese nodded. * "Happy to help, let me just say this has been very therapeutic for my bear." * The whole group of males laughed and I looked to Beck for affirmation. Beck gave me a nod and just then Tyler walked up with a bag of sweats in his jaws. He growled low when I chuckled at him. Reese and I jogged away from our group of friends, shifted and headed towards town. *

    Once Slade and Reese left the enforcers shifted into their human forms and began the tedious job of removing the dead bodies from Ian and Meghan’s land. As the bodies were picked up and placed in the back of a truck one by one the females began to leave the house. I watched as Jules and Rae went to their mates and were checked over. I eyed Chloe from where I stood. She seemed nervous but unharmed except for a few scratches. She looked at me and I could tell she wanted to come over to me for comfort, but I gave a small shake of my head, stopping her. I needed to help with the clean up then return to town with the others. I was helping Ian with the last of the rogue bodies when Beck walked out of the house with his big ass dog. The dog had been in the middle of the fight and had been cut a few times by claws. He was going to need a doctor and right now the only doctor we had was Julian. Thomas, Beck’s son was being very brave as he as on the ground with his dog, petting and talking to him. I watched as Beck bent down, talking to the boy before Jackson and another enforcer stepped up in back of Beck. Rae took Thomas by the hand and they stepped back. Beck, Jackson and the other enforcer gathered around the dog, picking him up to place his on the truck bed. The dog whines as they lay him down. Thomas ran over placing a hand on his snout before he was helped into the bed of the truck along with his mother and father. “Vincent, you and Ian meeting at the station in three hours.” I nodded and one by one people loaded up in the trucks and were on their way. I turned and watched as Tyler got in his truck and waited for Chloe and I. I knew there were a few bodies waiting at my home that had to be taken care of. I turned to Ian. I’ll pick you up and we’ll go into town together. He nodded then ushered Meg past Chloe and into the house. I stood by Tyler’s truck and watched as my mate slowly made her way towards me. I helped her into then got in behind her as Tyler drove us back home to clean up before the meeting.

* Raechel Hadrian​​ was finally sleeping as I quietly dressed and left the house. I had to deal with Mia before I dealt with the females of the pack. I was still furious, but everything with Jordan McCormick​​ overshadowed it. I still needed to tell Mikaela Kieschnick​​. Maybe I'd call Damon Kieschnick​​ first. Let him decide the best way to tell her. She'd taken to Jordan right off the bat and I think Jordan had loved Mik too. I kicked the truck engine over and rubbed my hands together.
