I had just finished folding all of the laundry and Ian's things in a basket that I left outside the guest room door. I wasn't about to go in there. If I did he'd probably have another reason to be mad at me. I took my things upstairs and on my way back down there was a knock on the front door. I peeked out the side window and saw Rocky, the guard that had been asigned to me. I sighed and unlocked the door. When I opened it, Rocky looked at me and kind of sneered. " There was a problem with the Transport. When I have more info, I'll let you know." He started to walk away from me but I stopped him. * Was anyone hurt? Is Ian okay? * He shook his head, that sneer back on his face. " Do you really care? I heard about what you did." I was furious. How dare he say that to me! I stomped out onto the porch, my hands balled into fists at my side. Don't you ever question my love for my mate! I made a mistake and I'm paying for it! You have no right to throw it in my fucking face, you son of a bitch! * I growled and stomped back into the house, slamming the door behind me. I got as far as the couch in the living room before I burst into tears and slowly sagged to the floor.*

    * My mind was racing. I was scared to death that Ian had been hurt. I didn't want any of the enforcers hurt either. I was also pissed that Mia's so called friends blamed us. It was quiet inside the house, the only sound was Raja breathing and Thomas chatting softly with Rae. Looking around the room, I was surprised we were all so quiet and, I was about to suggest we go to the kitchen and have coffee or something when I heard it, we all heard it. A lone wolf's howl. It was creepy and, made me shiver. There were soft gasps and Raja was on his feet, his hair standing on end. The big dog growled low and, all of is slowly stood up. "Meg, do you have a pantry or a room that's secluded?" I turned to Rae. She was holding Thomas and looked fearful for her young. I nodded and had her follow me to the theater room. It was secluded and sound proofed, no windows. Rae set Thomas in one of the plush chairs as I turned on the cartoon channel. Rae told him to please stay there and he asked for Raja. Rae assured him that she would bring him in as soon as she could but, right now she needed his help. "Bad guys, momma?" Rae nodded. "Bad guys, Thomas." He hugged her neck and promised to stay put. I made sure the lights were on and Rae and I left him in there. In the hall by the stairs Rea stopped me. "Do you have guns in the house?" I told her we did and she told me to gather them up and meet her in the living room. She headed downstairs, I went to gather mine and Chloe's weapons from around the house. I got back to the living room just in time to hear Chloe say she heard one of the guards call Slade. I stopped and started laying guns out on the coffee table.* I grabbed everything we had including ammo. * I had a duffle bag slung over my shoulder along with a pump action shot gun. Jules and Piper looked worried.* Have either of you fired a gun before? * They both nodded.* Good, we'll need your help.

    * Out in the yard there was a rumbling of sound. It got louder and we realized it was fighting. Rae grabbed the shotgun and I gave her more shells for it. I had my glock and two full clips. Piper picked my double action revolver and I made sure she got the ammo for it. CC and Jules got the other pistols that belonged to Chloe. Rae looked around at all of us. "We have to help protect ourselves. There are many Rogues and if we don't help we could lose some of our own." We all nodded. Raja was by the front door growling now. " I think we need to split up, take different positions in the house." We all agreed. Piper went to the kitchen area. Rae took the balcony off of our bedrooms. CC was in the front room. I was at the front door and Jules had the mud room/ garage. We could all hear the fighting outside. There was scuffling on the porch, something or someone slammed against the door. It happened again and Raja went nuts, barking and growling. The door flew open. Two bodies landed on the floor. Rocky and a dead Rogue. Raja charged out as Rocky got up. There was no time to say anything. He headed back out into the yard and I could see others fighting and more rogues. Upstairs, I heard Rae yell and the balcony doors opened. The shotgun blast was loud and I couldn't see who she hit but I heard the groan. Raja ran by on the heels of a rogue. He lept up and had the guy by the back of the neck. When they hit the ground, Raja shook the guy, snapping his neck, his body going limp. There was too much going on, too much noise. A window in the living room broke, a brick landing on the rug close to CC. She growled loud and fired off two shots. Piper yelled from the kitchen. "Rogues everywhere" She was shooting at someone. Jules stepped into help her. Something wizzed by my head and shattered a glass picture frame. Locking eyes with the male, he growled at me. " McGregor pack will pay for what happened to Mia and our friends!" He stepped closer and I lifted my gun. His eyes widerned, he rushed forward and I shot him, the bullet hitting him in the throat. Jackson was yelling into his walkie about being outnumbered. Rae was yelling for Raja, CC, Jules and Piper were firing off shots. There was a yelp, two more blasts from the shotgun. " You go near that dog and I'll gut you!" I've never heard so much anger from Rae but she was pissed. I couldn't keep track of everyone. I stepped out on the porch to see and was sucker punched. I dropped my gun and my attacker tackled me to the floorboards. She was strong, her eyes crazy but, I was on an adrenaline rush and fighting for my life. I got in a couple punches. She shook them off, her fangs lengthening. She was going to bite me. Suddenly there was a loud crack and her head exploded, covering me in blood and brain matter. I scrambled to get her body off of me and CC stepped out to help me and drag me inside. " No one hurts my best friend!" She grabbed my gun and shoved into my hands. We have to help the guards till the rest of the enforcers get here!" I stood up, wiping my face on my sleeve, gunfire ringing through the house. We would do all we could to protect ourselves until help came.*

* Raechel Hadrian​​ was finally sleeping as I quietly dressed and left the house. I had to deal with Mia before I dealt with the females of the pack. I was still furious, but everything with Jordan McCormick​​ overshadowed it. I still needed to tell Mikaela Kieschnick​​. Maybe I'd call Damon Kieschnick​​ first. Let him decide the best way to tell her. She'd taken to Jordan right off the bat and I think Jordan had loved Mik too. I kicked the truck engine over and rubbed my hands together. It was cold and the sky was just turning a bright orange in the eastern sky. I didn't relish the tasks ahead. I put the truck in gear and headed into town. We didn't have a large police department. It was a few offices for Slade Michaels and Cole Ross, the other enforcers were directed by them. Slade and I had talked about bringing Vincent Gaines on, but it hadn't gotten any further when we were called to help Bianca. Now that the females had pulled the stunt they did, he may not stick around long enough for me to offer him the position. We had eight holding cells, each one made with reinforced silver. They stayed empty most of the time with the exception of a drunk or two needing to sleep off their drink. I parked in the space designated for me and made my way inside. * Alpha. * Bernice ran the front desk and she greeted me with a smile. * Good morning, Bernice. * She stood up. * You look tired, sir. * She handed me the file on Mia. This was a small town, she knew why I was here. I flipped through the contents. * Its been a long two weeks. * I told her as I made sure everything was in order. * Who's running the morning shift? * I asked, closing the file. * Stretch and Monty. * They were relatively new trainees, but Slade and Cole had trained them well. * Thank you. * I nodded as I slipped past her. I dont need you narrating it. * She tried to snatch the folder from me. I didn't allow it. * And I dont need someone of your calibre in my pack. * That got her attention. * What do you mean? * I shrugged. * Exactly what I just said. I'm banishing you, Mia. * Tears filled her eyes. * Beck...I mean, Alpha, sir....please. * I steeled myself against her pleas. * I don't trust you. In fact, you attempted to seduce me, which means you will stop at nothing to get what you want. I have yet to determine what exactly that is. But its detrimental to my pack. And I will not allow it. * She was sobbing now. * I just wanted Julian. I just wanted him to love me! * I shook my head. * He doesn't feel the same, Mia. The last female like you caused a lot of hurt as well and she almost killed members of my pack. I cannot stand by and let this happen. I will not. You broke trust. And you crossed the line thinking you could seduce me. * She hit her knees. * Alpha, please! Give me another chance! I will stay away from Julian! I'll do anything, ANYTHING to make this right. Just please, don't banish me!! * I shook my head as I gave the signal to be let out. * You'll be escorted out tomorrow morning. You will have exactly two hours to pack and clear out your things. * She was still sobbing. * Where will I go? * I stepped out of the cell. * I don't know, Mia, nor do I care. But you won't be here. And I shouldn't have to tell you that if you attempt to come back to McGregor land, you'll be killed on the spot. * I slammed the bars closed. * I hope that you take this chance and become a better person. Perhaps find a pack that will accept you. * She hit the bars, screaming. * I don't need you or your fucking pack! I didn't act alone! And everyone knows that the only reason you won't banish the others is because of who they mated and your mate is one! * I growled. * You know nothing of what I will do. Don't push me, Mia. It's too easy for me to have you executed. And it'd be supported. * I left her screaming behind me as I made my way back upstairs. I was due to meet with Jules, Meghan and Chloe in an hour. I wanted to be done with this whole thing so I could move on. I had bigger issues to deal with and this was just pissing me off. I left Mias file for Cole to finish up and then headed to my office for round two. *
