* Waking up, I quickly realized that sleep didn't help my mood. I was still pissed as hell at my mate. I climbed out of bed and went though my morning routine of getting around and dressed. Everything was quiet so I knew +Meghan Danvers hadn't made it down stairs yet this morning. That was fine with me, I wasn't ready to put up with her crying and apologies. It was way too fucking early for that. I started a pot of coffee and then fixed myself an omelette for breakfast. I was just finishing it up when I heard noise upstairs. I looked at the top of the staircase and I saw that Meg was coming down. Standing, I filled my coffee cup, placed my dishes in the sink, I'd was them later. I heard her approach me from behind. * "Good morning." * Her voice was soft, quiet. You could tell she was scared to say anything. I halfway turned and glared at her. * Don't know what's so fucking good about it. * She sighed and I grabbed my coffee and started walking back to my room. * "Ian, you can't stay mad at me forever." * I growled and turned on her. * You're right, I can't. But seems how it was only last night that you drugged me and left me, I believe I still have every right to be angrier than hell today.

You're right. * Ian turned around and glared at me.* You have every right to be angry with me, to hate me. I did something inexcusable and dangerous just because I had cabin fever. I do love you. More than I could ever tell you, but the way I acted didn't show it. * I took a deep breath trying not to cry.* I'll do what needs to be done, whatever the Alpha says. And, I'll work my heart out so you'll one day trust me and maybe love me again. * Ian nodded and took a drink of his coffee. " We'll see." On that note he went back to the guest room. I stood there for a moment, just watching the spot where he'd stood. Would this ever be okay? Sighing, I started to get a cup of coffee but my stomach was queasy so, I got a bottle of water and headed upstairs to get dressed for our meeting with the Alpha.*
ReplyDelete* The minutes on the clock ticked away and in no time, it was time to deliver my mate to the Alpha. I opened my door like I was just sprung from years in the prison and strolled out to the living room, the door stood open and I found meg on the front stoop. I clapped my hand together and rubbed them like I was excited. * Time to deliver you to the Alpha. I can't wait to hear what he has to say. * I motioned towards my pickup. * Well come one. We mustn't keep him waiting! * The look on her face was priceless. It definitely put a little hop in my step. I set in the pickup and waited for her, she wasn't as eager as I to visit the Alpha. Serves her right, she made her bed. *
ReplyDeleteIan was being a smug asshole this morning. I sighed, I deserved it but, fuck he was really enjoying this. I made my way to his truck and got in. Ian actually chuckled and I wanted to tell him to fuck off. I buckled my seatbelt and crossed my arms over my chest. I ignored him as he drove to the other side of town. Yeah, he was still angry but, way to chipper about me being punished by the Alpha. When he pulled and parked I saw the others. Everyone looked like hell. I just hoped Beck didn't banish the lot of us. I don't know what I'd do if he did. I got out of the truck when Ian did. He greeted the males, ignoring Chloe and Jules. I looked at them and shrugged. This was going to be a long morning.*
