* Kimiko had mentioned the bar reopening and I figured we could both use a night out. I told her to get dressed, that we were going. She seemed excited and hurried to her room to get ready. I showered and shaved, dressed in dark jeans and a navy blue dress shirt. Nothing to fancy since it was just a bar in a small town. W hile I waited for Kimiko, I turned on the tv and watched some of the news, half of a game show and the beginning of a movie. I heard her befroom door open so I turned the tv off and stood up. When I saw her I was speechless. She looked beatiful as always but, the happiness in her eyes made her that much more beautiful if it was possible. I walked around the sofa to her and smiled when she looked up at me.* You are beautiful, my little Lotus flower. * I took her hand and brushed a kiss to her knuckles.* Every single male in this town will be wanting you tonight. But, they'll have to go through me. * I growled at her playfully and she giggled.* Let me just grab our jackets and we can go.

    * It was wonderful, dancing with Kimiko. For the first time we were not on a mission but instead just enjoying ourselves. The drink must have loosened her inhabitions or she wouldn't have danced with me. I would have been happy to hold her all night like this, to dance and have drinks but, the song ended and she slowly stepped away from me. As we made our way back to our table I noticed two of the waitresses rolling a huge cake out towards a table of women. " Welcome back Meghan and Chloe!* Customers cheered and I figured they must be the owners. I also noticed how overcome with emotion they were, a drunk woman spilling her drink, the tall brunette trying to keep the situation under control. She must be the Alpha female. I leaned close to Kim to tell her when the front doors to the bar flew open with a crashing bang. Five men walked in, the leader was surely the Alpha. " Parties over! Everyone go home. Now!" Kimiko startled and I stood up to sheild her.* We'd better leave Kim. Something is hoing on that we are not a part of. * She nodded and took my hand. We left, walking around the bar, giving the Alpha a wide berth. I heard a table crash as it was overturned, Kim grabbed my arm and stopped me from rushing us out of there. I looked down at her to see why she stopped me but she was looking in the direction of the men that had walked in.*

    * Holding tight to Taka's hand I followed him around the outer wall of the bar trying to stay as far away from the pissed off males as we could. I wasn't sure what had gotten them so angered, but I knew I was glad I wasn't on the receiving end of it. I looked at each male as we moved, but when I glanced at the last male alarms went off in my head. I grabbed onto Taka's arm with my other hand trying to stop him. The male was Japanese like us, I knew he had to be our target. The one that had killed my mother, but there was something else about him. It was like I should know him, my mind was confused. * "Kim, we need to go. Kim!" * Taka shook me and brought me back to the hear and now. I looked up at him and he motioned towards the door with this head and began to move again. I followed, but kept my eyes on the other male until I couldn't any more. Taka rushed to the SUV and practically picked me up and set me inside. He gently pushed my hair away from my face. * "Are you okay? What was that about in there?" * I shrugged, shaking my head no. * I don't know, something about that man was familiar. "Yeah, he was the one we were sent to kill." I know, but this is different, I don't know how to explain it. * Taka handed me my seat belt. * "We'll figure this out when we get home." * I nodded and buckled up. * Okay.

    * I frove us home, glad we didn't get involved in the melee at the bar. Kimiko's reaction to seeing our target bothered me, but I couldn't place why. Right now, my only concern was Kim and keeping her safe. Yes she could defend herself but I would still protect her. We were quiet on the drive home, Kim yawned and settled in her seat. When I pulled into the drive and parked, she was asleep. I hated to wake her, so I got out quietly and went to her side of the SUV. I opened her door and unbuckled her seatbelt. She stirred and I hushed her, the drink, dancing and excitement had exhausted her. She let me pick her up and I carried her inside, she snuggled in my arms and it made me smile. I took her to her room, laid her on her bed and removed her shoes. I covered her with the quilt from the foot of the bed and kissed her forehead softly. I watched her as she slept, my need to know what she saw in the bar on the back burner for tonight. I left her room and locked up the cabin . I poured myself a drink and sat in the quiet stillness of the living room. Tomorrow we'd talk, get this figured out before we moved forward.*

* Raechel Hadrian​​ was finally sleeping as I quietly dressed and left the house. I had to deal with Mia before I dealt with the females of the pack. I was still furious, but everything with Jordan McCormick​​ overshadowed it. I still needed to tell Mikaela Kieschnick​​. Maybe I'd call Damon Kieschnick​​ first. Let him decide the best way to tell her. She'd taken to Jordan right off the bat and I think Jordan had loved Mik too. I kicked the truck engine over and rubbed my hands together. It was cold and the sky was just turning a bright orange in the eastern sky. I didn't relish the tasks ahead. I put the truck in gear and headed into town. We didn't have a large police department. It was a few offices for Slade Michaels and Cole Ross, the other enforcers were directed by them. Slade and I had talked about bringing Vincent Gaines on, but it hadn't gotten any further when we were called to help Bianca. Now that the females had pulled the stunt they did, he may not stick around long enough for me to offer him the position. We had eight holding cells, each one made with reinforced silver. They stayed empty most of the time with the exception of a drunk or two needing to sleep off their drink. And I shouldn't have to tell you that if you attempt to come back to McGregor land, you'll be killed on the spot. * I slammed the bars closed. * I hope that you take this chance and become a better person.
