* I put what happened between +Takahiro Yanahi DPI and myself last night behind me. Today we were going to scout out the town and our target. We couldn't afford to have any awkwardness between us or be distracted. I went through my regular morning routine when the scent of bacon drifted into my room causing my stomach to grumble. I was glad that Takahiro knew how to cook, or we would starve. I opened my door and headed towards the kitchen. Takahiro turned to me a cup of freshly squeezed orange juice in his hand, he set it down in front of me. * "Good morning." * He grinned and I returned the gesture. * Good morning. Thank you! * I took a sip of the juice and it woke up the taste buds in my mouth. Takahiro walked over to the table with two plates full of food and I joined him. * This looks and smells delicious. Thank you. * Takahiro set down. * "You're welcome." * We ate in silence for a moment. * So, we're going into town today. What's are game plan?

    I watched her eat for a moment before picking up my coffee cup. I thought you could go to the grocery store and ask about the good doctor. I'll scout out the town and then pick you up. The more info we get the better. Sound good? * Kimiko nodded as she chewed a bite of bacon. She smiled a little making her eyes twinkle. I had to look away before I got caught up in those beautiful eyes. * More coffee, or juice?

    * Finishing my bite of bacon, I shook my head no. * No, I'm fine thanks. * We finished our breakfast and began to clean up. We both hated a dirty kitchen. I washed the dishes and he would rinse and then put them in the strainer. When our hands would touch it felt like electricity, not a painful shock, but more like a slow comfortable burn that traveled through my veins. I cleared my throat when we were finished. * Are we ready to go then? * He nodded, putting the last dish down. * "Let's do this." * I grabbed my jacket and made sure my phone and keys were inside my purse with my wallet. Taka opened the door for me and I walked out onto the porch. The sun was shining bright, promising a warmer afternoon. Right now though, it was chilly. I rubbed my arms and headed towards the SUV. We both climbed inside and Taka headed into town. We drove down what looked to be the main street, where a lot of the businesses were. Taka pulled into a spot, but the car in park and turned to me. * "I know you can protect yourself, but please be careful anyways. Remember if anyone ask's, we're a couple. If we're going to pull this off, we have to stick with the story." * I nodded, biting my lip. * "Call me if you get into any trouble, get as much info as you can, engage the town people." * It was cute how he was giving me this pep talk. I continued to bite my lip so I wouldn't smile. He really was a genuine male. * "Let's meet back here, say at 11:30? Is that too long?" * Looking at the clock on the dash, I shook my head no. * Should give me time to hit some of the specialty stores. * I smiled. * Maybe I'll even go to that little cafe we ate at and have a piece of pie! * Taka smiled at me and laughed. * "You do that! Okay, I'll see you soon." * I leaned over and kissed him on the cheek quickly and opened the door to get out. I knew he wasn't expecting that, but there were people walking on the side walk and one was suspiciously watching us a little too close. I pushed the door closed behind me and headed towards the first store a saw, never looking back. *

    * I watched Kimiko as she entered the store and waved to the person watching us before backing out of the parking spot. I drove casually through town, recording locations as I named them off onto my phone. There were people all over taking down halloween decorations and putting up stuff for Thanksgiving. I found it refreshing that the town was so community driven. It was so unlike the town we were from. I took note of the shops and the church, the playground and tthe little school. The further out, I found the bar and further still, the clinic. I parked across the street and acted like I was making a call as I watched the clinic and the townsfolk coming and going. I didn't want to be conspicuous so I left after twenty minutes. I drove completely around the town and if I wasn't on a mission I could totally live here. The town was clean and thriving, the people happy. It was 11:30 when I pulled up to the cafe. I knew Kim would be there and I was right. She saw me and waved. I got out of the SUV and walked inside. Kim had pie and coffee. It looked good and everything in the cafe smelled heavenly. I joined her in the corner booth and ordered my own piece of chocolate cream pie and coffee.* So, how was your day, beautiful? * Kim blushed and kicked me under the table. I had to laugh. Damn, I loved making her blush.*

    Yes, we do. * I took a bite of the chocolate cream pie and was pleasantly surprised. It was probably the best I'd ever had. Kimiko was enjoying her pie to and it made me smile for just a moment, forgetting we were actually doing recon. I finished my pie and ordered some more coffee while Kim was still eating. I glanced around us before I spoke , not wanting anyone to overhear us.* I scouted out the town, found the clinic and such. I recorded notes on my phone. Kimiko nodded and told me about the shops and how friendly everyone she met was. She even told me a funny story she'd been told in one of the shops. I laughed, entranced by the sheer joy on Kim's face. She also told me she got some details about our target. The time he went in to the office, how late it stayed open. I nodded and winked at her. She did great and as we were getting ready to leave, she told me about her purchases and some wooden turkey she wanted to put together. I chuckled, picturing it in my mind. I paid Margaret, giving her a hefty tip. I grabbed Kims bags and put them in the back of SUV as she got in. On the way home, she listened to my notes. We chatted some and she told me about the bar having a re opening party. When she was done, I could tell by the way she sighed at the sight of our cabin that she really wished we were here for other reasons. It tore me up inside but, hopefully I'd be able to give her what she wanted.

* Raechel Hadrian​​ was finally sleeping as I quietly dressed and left the house. I had to deal with Mia before I dealt with the females of the pack. I was still furious, but everything with Jordan McCormick​​ overshadowed it. I still needed to tell Mikaela Kieschnick​​. Maybe I'd call Damon Kieschnick​​ first. Let him decide the best way to tell her. She'd taken to Jordan right off the bat and I think Jordan had loved Mik too. I kicked the truck engine over and rubbed my hands together. It was cold and the sky was just turning a bright orange in the eastern sky. I didn't relish the tasks ahead. I put the truck in gear and headed into town. We didn't have a large police department. It was a few offices for Slade Michaels and Cole Ross, the other enforcers were directed by them. Slade and I had talked about bringing Vincent Gaines on, but it hadn't gotten any further when we were called to help Bianca. Now that the females had pulled the stunt they did, he may not stick around long enough for me to offer him the position. We had eight holding cells, each one made with reinforced silver. They stayed empty most of the time with the exception of a drunk or two needing to sleep off their drink.
