* I had just dropped Slade Michaels​ off at home and made my way home. I wasn't sure Slade should be alone, but he had insisted he was fine and better off alone. I was ready to see Thomas and Raechel Hadrian​. I still had to tell her that Jordan McCormick​ was presumed dead and I didn't relish that part of the evening. I was bone tired and in desperate need of a shower and some sleep. I pulled into the drive way and climbed out, stretching my legs and back as I did. I grabbed my travel bag and climbed the steps to the porch, using my key to let myself in. * Daddy! * Thomas bounded up off of the floor and Raja followed, hopping around in a circle around me. I picked up Thomas and hugged him tight. * Hi buddy! I missed you. * I looked up to see one of the ladies from the pack making her way over to me. An unfinished puzzle was on the floor and a half eaten bone. * Hi, Alpha Beck. * I nodded, shifting Thomas to the side. * Hi, Andrea, how are you? * My eyes scanned the space for Rae. * I'm well. Your mate isn't here. She was meeting her friends at Crossroads. She asked me to spend the night here and watch Thomas. She is due home in the morning. * Andrea was wringing her hands and it was obvious she was nervous. * I don't believe she expected you home, sir. * I nodded. * She didn't know I was on my way. * I looked at Thomas. * Why don't you finish your puzzle while I go get Mommy? * Thomas nodded and wiggled down. * I'll be back, I'm just going to go and retrieve Rae. * She nodded, and seemed relieved at my reaction. Was she scared of me? I hoped not as I stepped back outside and climbed back in my truck. I worried my body was going to be permanently scrunched from being in the damn truck so much. I drove towards the bar and was a little surprised that Rae had gotten a babysitter. She was entitled to time away and freedom, but it was odd that she hadn't texted me about her plans. It didn't take long to arrive at the bar and it was packed if all the cars and trucks were any indication. I cut the engine and got out, immediately hearing the music and the crowd. I wasn't in the mood for this kind of crowd and steeled myself to act like I wanted to be there. I crossed the parking lot and was making my way to the front of the building when I heard my name. I turned and saw Ian Holder​ and Vincent Gaines​ approaching me. Vincent didn't look thrilled but then again, he rarely did. It was Ian who gave me pause. He looked murderous. * Hey, guys. * I held my hand out and they both shook it. * We need to talk to you. * Vince practically growled. * Beck! * A car squealed to a stop and Doctor Julian Takumi​ leapt out. Ian snarled at him and I wasn't sure what the hell was going on. * I need to speak with you. * Julian jogged over and stopped next to me. * Gentlemen, I'm sure that whatever you have to say is important, and I give my word to give each of you an opportunity to voice it. Tomorrow. I'm tired and- * Julian cut me off. * This can't wait. * I scrubbed a hand down my face, irritation prickling along my neck. * Then out with it. What the hell is going on?

    * I felt my phone vibrate in my jacket pocket. Pulling it out I saw it was a text from Beck asking me to come outside. I looked for Jules, she and the other females were dancing again so I told Reese I'd be right back and headed outside. Beck wasn't alone. Ian, Vincent and Julian were with him. That got me worried because I didn't even know he was back in town. I walked over to them and they all looked pissed. I greeted them, shook their hands before asking what was going on.* So, whats up guys? You all look like you're ready to murder someone. * Beck calmly filled me in on the deets of what our females did and how my Jules was the one to deliver the pills to Meg and Chloe. I stood there dumbfounded. My mate was in on this shitstorm and now I was furious.* Motherfucker. I'm ready to in there and drag my mate out of there. We have a lot to talk about. * Beck stopped me by grabbing my arm and growling. Since he is the Alpha, I stopped. Vincent looked like he was gonna pop a vein in his neck from clenching his jaw. We were all pissed, and I know I felt betrayed. Vincent stepped up to Beck and I backed off a little to let them talk.*

    As Cole stepped back Ian moved forward and we both stood in front of Beck. I know this is your town and I’d be the last person to tell you what to do. But I think you need to see what’s on that drive. I have a laptop in my car and it will only take a minute to get it up and running. Beck seemed to think about it for a minute then nodded. “Do it.” * I walked to my car and popped the trunk, pulling out the computer. Within minutes I had it up with the flash drive in place. Julian and Cole moved over to look and we watched as Mia used her key to open the medicine closet and searched until she found what she was looking for. She opened the small box and removed a foil sleeve then replaced the box and locked the door. We all stood there for a moment, not saying a word. I took a deep breath and was about to remove the flash when Julian cleared his throat.* “Don’t take it out Vincent. There’s something else on there that I need Beck to see.” Nodding I went to the other file and opened it up. There in the office was nurse Mia removing her clothing. She stood in a very sexy set of Emerald green lingerie. She looked in a mirror, then putting on a lab coat. A few minutes later we watched as Julian came into the room the apparently was his office. The The shock on his face was apparent when he finally noticed her. A few words were passed between them and everyone watched him fire her and take the keys to the clinic from her. The feed ended and everyone looked at Julian. He shrugged. “For some reason she thinks just because I don’t have a female, I would want her. I’m tried of going into work and not knowing what she’s going to say or do. But now with taking drugs I can’t work with her.” Beck nodded and stopped as if thinking. “I need to find out something. Have the females met outside of your place?” “Jules said she and Rae went to lunch and they met up with Mia. I didn’t think anything of it at the time but maybe that’s when the drugs were exchanged.” Beck nodded again then looked at me. “Can I check something out on the computer?” I nodded and we all watched as he pulled up a website and logged in. “What day did they have lunch?” Cole gave Beck the date and we all watched as Jules, Rae and Mia sat together at a table for a few minutes before Mia took something out of her purse and handed it to Jules. A low growl left Beck before he logged out of the site. “It’s time to see what our mates have to say about their actions.”

    * I practically shoved the laptop to Vincent. I made my way towards the bar, furious beyond measure. Maybe it was the situation with Slade and Jordan that was coloring my view of this situation. I was goddamned pissed that while we had been gone, searching for our niece and identifying the body of one of our own, the females had been cavorting around town and drugging mates. I kicked the double wood doors open, my boots shattering the outside wood. The music skipped to a halt and silence descended over the partygoers. My eyes scanned the crowd and landed on my mate. I watched fear ripple over her. * Parties over! Everyone needs to go home. Now! * I moved further inside, followed by the four men who were just as pissed. Chloe stepped up to me, but her bluster was weak. * This is my bar. I decide when the parties over. * Vincent reached around me and snatched her arm. She squeaked in protest as I started walking through the bar, knocking over tables. * Parties over. Let's go. Out. * Rae had yet to approach me, but I was making my way to her all the same. A drunk male tried to block me and a flick of my wrist sent him flying. Mia was drunk and I decided to deal with her first. She startled when I grabbed her bicep. * Beck... * Rae stepped forward but I stopped her with a growl. Mia tried to pull away. * Lemme go! * She demanded. I gave her a little shake. * I said lemme go! * She raised her hand to slap me and I had her face down on the table, her arm twisted behind her back. * What are you doing to me?! * She wailed. Her words were slurred and she was slobbering. I leaned down so she could hear me. * I'm trying not to snap your neck and be done with the trouble you've caused me. * She gasped. * You wouldn't! * The patrol for the evening finally made their way inside and one tossed me the cuffs they carried. I cuffed Mia and jerked her up. * Lock her up in holding for the night. * I shoved her towards Alec, a patrolling enforcer Slade had trained. He took her and then I turned to the females. The bar was empty and the place was trashed. Meghan and Chloe clung to one another. Jules seemed indifferent. And Rae, well, she knew she was in deep shit. * All of you will go home with your mates tonight. Tomorrow morning, I will see you all in my office. If you're lucky, I won't be as ready to banish you as I am right now. * There were gasps and soft sobs. * Beck, you can't be serious. * Rae said softly. I snatched her by the arm. * Try me, Raechel. * With that, I propelled her to the door. * Beck...I know you're angry. * She was trying to slow my stride. * But Id have you listen to me, first. * I spun her around to face me. * And what will you say, mate? That you had no idea what was happening? Because if that's what you were going to say, I caution you not to. We both know that's a lie. * I growled the last bit in her face. Her eyes shown with tears and it just infuriated me more. She was supposed to be the leader to the females of the pack. I shook my head. * Get in the truck. Now! * I snapped when she hesitated. I was seconds away from losing my temper and didn't want to in front of witnesses. I knew Thomas was in bed, but I also knew my office was sound proofed from the rest of the house. I drove home with every intention of dealing with my mate in the office. My jaw ached from clenching my teeth. * Beck, please let me explain. * I ignored her. Now wasn't the time. And she needed to heed my silence for the warning it was. I hoped to calm down on the drive home, but there was little chance. I'd come home to a shit storm. The reasonable Alpha was gone for the time being and in his place was the ruthless Alpha. The Alpha that would have his peace one way or the other within this pack, so help me God. *

* Raechel Hadrian​​ was finally sleeping as I quietly dressed and left the house. I had to deal with Mia before I dealt with the females of the pack. I was still furious, but everything with Jordan McCormick​​ overshadowed it. I still needed to tell Mikaela Kieschnick​​. Maybe I'd call Damon Kieschnick​​ first. Let him decide the best way to tell her. She'd taken to Jordan right off the bat and I think Jordan had loved Mik too. I kicked the truck engine over and rubbed my hands together. It was cold and the sky was just turning a bright orange in the eastern sky. I didn't relish the tasks ahead. I put the truck in gear and headed into town. We didn't have a large police department. It was a few offices for Slade Michaels and Cole Ross, the other enforcers were directed by them. Slade and I had talked about bringing Vincent Gaines on, but it hadn't gotten any further when we were called to help Bianca. Now that the females had pulled the stunt they did, he may not stick around long enough for me to offer him the position. We had eight holding cells, each one made with reinforced silver. They stayed empty most of the time with the exception of a drunk or two needing to sleep off their drink. I parked in the space designated for me and made my way inside. * Alpha. * Bernice ran the front desk and she greeted me with a smile. * Good morning, Bernice. * She stood up. * You look tired, sir. * She handed me the file on Mia. This was a small town, she knew why I was here. And I will not allow it. * She was sobbing now. * I just wanted Julian. I just wanted him to love me! * I shook my head. * He doesn't feel the same, Mia. The last female like you caused a lot of hurt as well and she almost killed members of my pack. I cannot stand by and let this happen. I will not. You broke trust. And you crossed the line thinking you could seduce me. * She hit her knees. * Alpha, please! Give me another chance! I will stay away from Julian! I'll do anything, ANYTHING to make this right. Just please, don't banish me!! * I shook my head as I gave the signal to be let out. * You'll be escorted out tomorrow morning. You will have exactly two hours to pack and clear out your things. * She was still sobbing. * Where will I go? * I stepped out of the cell. * I don't know, Mia, nor do I care. But you won't be here. And I shouldn't have to tell you that if you attempt to come back to McGregor land, you'll be killed on the spot. * I slammed the bars closed. * I hope that you take this chance and become a better person. Perhaps find a pack that will accept you. * She hit the bars, screaming. * I don't need you or your fucking pack! I didn't act alone! It's too easy for me to have you executed. And it'd be supported. * I left her screaming behind me as I made my way back upstairs. I was due to meet with Jules, Meghan and Chloe in an hour. I wanted to be done with this whole thing so I could move on. I had bigger issues to deal with and this was just pissing me off. I left Mias file for Cole to finish up and then headed to my office for round two. *
