Everyone in the bar stood quietly as Beck asserted his dominance. Damn, he was pissed. The bar started to empty at Beck’s demand and a strange feeling came over me. With an inner shrug, I turned my attention to Beck as he face planted a drunk and screaming Mia. It was hard to believe that the mates of respected members of the community could have done something like this just to get a night out. I left the bar, heading for my car as Beck and Rae made their way to his truck ahead of me. She seemed shaken as he pulled her towards the truck and I heard her try and speak to Beck once, but his growl stopped her. I started the engine and slowly backed out of the parking spot and headed home. It was going to be a long night for the females and I hoped after everything was said and done their mates would forgive them, but I wasn’t so sure they would. Heading for the kitchen I got a glass and filled it with ice then grabbed a bottle of scotch, filling the glass. Taking a drink, I headed up to my room to think about the night.
