I pulled up to Vincents and honked. While I waited on them I looked through a file. It had a little info on our new residence but not a lot. I hoped we could add to it today.
I smiled when both men walked out of the house and climbbed in.* So, are you two ready for this?

    Definitely. Not. Mated. And definitely hiding something. I think we need to keep a lookout. We really can’t afford to be caught off guard again. That shit can’t happen again. Cole nodded as we drove. “Yeah, I’m done with shifters and humans coming here thinking they can get away with whatever they want. I’m going to call Beck, let him know what’s going on and see if he wants me to nip this in the bud or just watch them.” I listened to what he said and thought about something. That’s a good idea but when you call him let him know I have an idea. Cole pulled into my driveway and turned off the engine, then turned to face me. “What are you thinking?” Well I think we should invite them over and try to figure out what they are really doing here. Our mates could work on the female and we could work on the male. I’m with you. I don’t want to wait until it’s too late to do anything. Cole nodded as Ian jumped out of the truck. I opened the door and got out of the truck and waited for Cole to say something. “I’ll call him and get back to you.” Cole got out of the truck and we headed for the front door. As we walked we could hear the females inside laughing and talking. I opened the door and all action stopped. Great my mate was up to something and this time she had the alpha female in on it. Shaking my head I looked at the other two males knowing we had more than strangers to deal with.

    * Takahiro walked the three males to the door and waved at them as they drove away. Closing the door he turned to face me. I wasn't sure if it was anger or concern on his face. * "What was that all about?" What? * He slowly walked towards me. * "The nervousness, the shaking. You might like to meet their mates? You know we can't stay here, once were done with this mission." * I turned away from him and crossed my arms over my chest. * I'm out of my element here Takahiro. I'm not used to having a partner in crime. * I turned to face him. * Normally, I'm on my own. I get in there and get the job done and go back home. There's no lying, no pretending to be mated. * He smirked. * "Is my touch so bad?" * I tried hard not to blush. If he only knew it was just the opposite and how much that scared me. Sitting down, I hid my face in my hands. Takahiro sat on the couch beside me. * "What's really going on Kimiko?" * His voice was gentle and I caved, telling him how I really feel. * You know this is the first time I've been away from Senichi and not felt his heavy hand on my shoulder? I almost feel free, like he can't control me anymore. The idea of actually having girlfriends to hang out with, go shopping with. Or the possibility of falling in love and having a future without having to kill the next person that pisses him off.     * I felt bad for Kimiko. Senichi held her sisters well being over her head. It made me sick anf and seeing how it broke Kimiko's heart just made me want to rip his head off. Gently I took her hand in mine to reassure her.* I know what you're saying and I understand completely. If I could I'd get her away from Senichi away from our village. I promise you though, nothing will happen to her. I won't let it. You have my word. * I rubbed her knuckles with my thumb and thought for a moment.* How about this. You go, meet the females have your night out. You need to experience things like that. I will be here when you return, doing research on our target. How does that sound? * Her dark eyes widened, full of unshed tears. She nodded and squeezed my hand before getting up and going to her room, closing the door behind her. I sat back, scrubbing my hand down my face. I would do anything for Kimiko and if having a night out with the local females made her happy then so be it. If I had it my way, she would experience everything life had to offer, have lifes every happiness. I stood up and looked towards her room.* One day my little lotus flower, I will see you happy and free.

* Raechel Hadrian​​ was finally sleeping as I quietly dressed and left the house. I had to deal with Mia before I dealt with the females of the pack. I was still furious, but everything with Jordan McCormick​​ overshadowed it. I still needed to tell Mikaela Kieschnick​​. Maybe I'd call Damon Kieschnick​​ first. Let him decide the best way to tell her. She'd taken to Jordan right off the bat and I think Jordan had loved Mik too. I kicked the truck engine over and rubbed my hands together. It was cold and the sky was just turning a bright orange in the eastern sky. I didn't relish the tasks ahead. I put the truck in gear and headed into town. We didn't have a large police department. It was a few offices for Slade Michaels and Cole Ross, the other enforcers were directed by them. Slade and I had talked about bringing Vincent Gaines on, but it hadn't gotten any further when we were called to help Bianca. Now that the females had pulled the stunt they did, he may not stick around long enough for me to offer him the position. We had eight holding cells, each one made with reinforced silver. They stayed empty most of the time with the exception of a drunk or two needing to sleep off their drink.
