My head felt so groggy as if I was hanging upside down, but in reality I was laying on what felt like a cement floor. My mouth was as dry as the Sahara desert. With heavy lids I slowly opened my eyes and waited until the room stopped spinning before I pulled myself into a sitting position. A chill ran over my skin, which caused me to realize I was not only in a cold damp cage but also naked as the day I was born. Where in the hell was I and what was this place and who would do this? Reaching out I grasped a hold of the warn, rusty bars in front of me so I could slowly pull myself up on my feet. Swallowing was difficult without so much as a drop of water, but more so because a metal collar was attached to my neck. Fear shot up my spin, followed by a flow of adrenaline as I tried to find a weakness in the metal so I could be free.

My breathing quickened as I moved around the small area hoping to find a flaw in the cage so I could get out of this hell I had been put in. A creaking of wooden steps could be heard before a bright light flashed on in the room. Covering my eyes I scampered towards the back of my prison. Moaning, crying and howling started echoing though out the place. As my eyes adjusted I began to notice there were many cages about. Some contained men or women and some were animals. Sniffing the air I could tell the room contained shifters of many kinds. Some cells housed a few shifters while others like mine were small and contained only one person or animal. A very large man shouted for everyone to be quiet as he approached my cage, carrying a long slim metal pole.
ReplyDeleteThe huge male grinned showing off his sharp white teeth. As I looked up at the man, I swear just the sight of how large he was threatened me to the core. He was approximately 7 feet tall and probably weighed 350 pounds. I swallowed nervously as he chuckled and jingled keys he pulled from his pocket. "Come on you! Get your ass over here or I will be forced to use this on you" He waved the long metal tube in my direction. By pressing a button sparks shot out of the tip. Shaking my head, I whimpered and wrapped my fingers tightly around the bars close to my body. After unlocking the cage, the door swung open with a high pitched grating sound. The male's brows furrowed in aggravation as he ducked his head and stepped inside the doorway. When he reached out to grab my arm, my fight or flight instinct took over and I bit down upon his hand. He roared deeply before leaning forward and poking the metal object against my bared chest. My jaw let go of his flesh as I fell back and screamed. My body convulsed upon the floor shifting back and forth many times from human to wolf. I felt as if I was on fire and there wasnt a damn thing I could do about it but thrash about uncontrollably.
