* I put my pickup in park in front of Brody's office. The bell above the door jingled announcing my arrival. * "I'll be out in just a minute." * A male voice came from what I assumed was an office. I took a seat in one of the chairs in the reception area. I could hear him talking and knew he was either on the phone or had another client in with him. I hoped he wouldn't take too long, I didn't like being away from Meg too long. Right now Scott, one of our bouncers was sitting with her at the house. My phone buzzed and I checked the email. It was from one of our beer vendors for the bar. I was in no rush to get Meg back in the bar and get it opened back up, but I knew that her and Chloe were losing money on it everyday it wasn't open. Since she shifted, she's felt much better. Her pain was gone and their was no physical evidence left to be seen on her body that she had been injured. But mentally, I wasn't sure. I know there has been a couple nights she has woke up in a cold sweat. I hoped that her getting to see Chloe in a couple of day's would help with that too. +Vincent Gaines and +Chloe Cross had made it back to town, but from what little information Vincent gave, It sounded like Chloe had been through quite a bit. I heard a cough and looked up. * "Sorry about that, had some business I needed to tend to." * Standing I put my phone in my pocket and shook Brody's out stretched hand. * Brody, I was surprised to hear from you the other day. * He grinned. * It seems that we have a lot of people wanting to move into McGregor, but there really is no houses for sale. The client I called you about though, are willing to pay quite a bit. So I thought if you were interested?" * He turned and headed towards his office. * "Follow me and I'll show you what I got drawn up." * I followed him into his office. His desk was in disarray he looked like he could use some help with filing. I took a seat in one of the chairs in front of his desk as he moved papers around. Eventually he pulled a file out with my name on it and a picture of my house. He slipped a piece of paper out that had chicken scratches on it. * Okay, It's a couple moving here from Japan. They are not positive this is where they want to lay roots, but this is where they have decided to at least try. The males father is the one that contacted me and if you agree with the terms I have drawn up, then I can have an account set up for you to have the money wired too. He has agreed to a deposit and first months rent, up front and the an automatic transfer made on the 5th of every month until they decide what they want to do. * I nodded. So far it sounded good, though I have to admit I really didn't know what I was doing. * Sounds good so far. * "Brody grinned then let me show you what he has offered." * Brody slipped another piece of paper over the one he first showed me. I looked it over as he explained things to me and almost went into shock. * Is my place even worth that a month? * Brody looked up at me. * "Actually, no. If I had to figure the numbers, it would be below this, but this guy I've been talking to is in a hurry to get his son a place and is willing to pay extra to make that happen. If you agree to my percentage of 30% to handle the paperwork. Then we can move forward." * I looked over the numbers, the money would help. * Okay, let's do this! How long do I have to get my clothes and other personal items out? * Brody did a fist pump to celebrate. * "Five day's maybe, I think they are boarding a plane in a couple of days. Sorry to make this happen so quick, but you weren't answering my calls. * I nodded. I had been ignoring his call. * I'll get back with my client and let them know it's a go." * I stood and shook his hand, eager to get out of here. * Thanks for everything, I don't mean to rush, but I need to get home to my mate. * Brody shook his head and walked around his desk, following me to the door. * "It's no trouble at all, I heard the stories going around town. I don't blame you one bit. I'm glad your mate is going to be okay." * Thanking him as I walked out, I jumped into my pickup and headed home to my mate. *
