(The day before Kaiyo's disappearance.)

Part 1 of Jordan's day out.

* Anger surged through me when I saw the scars that marred +Jordan McCormick's flesh. Her appearance didn't matter to me, I'd love her regardless, but to know that she suffered through that was too much. I couldn't wait to get her back and then to go after the males that dared lie to my mate and torture her. I cringed at her shift, I sensed the pain she was in, we should had let her do this sooner, but she was too much of a danger to the pack and a flight risk. I stripped and let my wolf take over, the shift was quick and painless. I looked at her wolf and hoped that there was some recognition there, but she didn't linger too long before she yipped and took off at a run. My wolf smiled at Lily and then I took off after Jordan. My hope was that seeing the scenery through her wolfs eyes, she would remember something. These are the same lands that we've run through our whole lives. I kept up with her but gave her room to stretch and wear off a little energy, it felt good to run, I'd been keeping my wolf in too long while I was going out of my mind thinking that she was lost to me forever. Moving closer to her as we ran, I saw her watching me. Sensing that her curiosity was piqued, I ran right beside her . Bumping into her shoulder lightly, I wanted to see how she would react. Jordan stopped, leaned down on her front paw with her butt stuck up in the air, her tongue hung out as she panted. She watched me as I paced in front of her and then slowly moved towards her head on. I could sense that her wolf was curious. Stopping only a foot or two ahead of her, I laid down on all fours, giving her permission to do as she wanted. I hoped that she would want to get closer maybe take my scent in, rub on me. Anything that might indicate she was trying to remember *.

  1. The smell of the outdoors washed over me in waves of glorious sweet scents. I could not get enough of the beauty of the land that surrounded me as I ran through the forest. Stretching my legs felt so damn good if only I had been allowed to run earlier, but no I was not to be trusted. I smelled the sexy male before he brushed against my body. When his scent mingled with mine, it felt right, almost as if we were meant to be. I shrugged off the feeling, nothing ever came without a price. Why did I have to have these feelings? After a while I took a break and nestled down into a playful crouch. The male wolf gave up and dropped his belly completely on the grassy ground. He was close but not too close where he intruded upon my space. Was he submitting to me? I felt like laughing. No one would ever do that in my presence. This had to be some sort of trick, and yet the feeling I was receiving from him was more on the gentle side instead of being angry. I tilted my head from side to side and whimpered. Gradually I rested my stomach on the ground and began to slowly creep towards him until our noses were only an inch apart. Blinking a few times, I waited for his reaction of catching me off guard and teaching me some sort of lesson. Instead I was greeted with a sad look in his eyes and feelings of love caressed across my mind. I could tell he was trying to communicate, but I had locked the door tight while I was fighting for my life at the other place. My wolf trusted him much more than my human self and she opened her jaw and licked the tip of the male's nose a few times as she made soft whimpering sounds until she was able to fully nuzzle her face against his

  2. * Hope surged in my chest as Jordan allowed her wolf to explore me. It took everything in me to lay still and not make any sudden movements. I didn't want to scare her from being curious. I whined a little to encourage her, inching a little closer to her. I breathed in her scent and things in my world righted just a little more. I could breathe a little easier, my mate was home and even though she didn't know me, she was trying. Something was getting through to her. We both just laid there for a few minutes, enjoying the sun, the fresh air and even each other. Suddenly she jumped up and I instantly went on alert. Was something out there? I sensed nothing. Jordan began to walk, once I knew we were safe, I followed close by, but not too close. She acted shy again suddenly. I could hear the creek in the distance and thought maybe she might want a drink. I nudged her gently wanting to put my scent on her. She'd look at me and step away and I'd do it again. I thought I saw her role her eyes but couldn't be certain. So I bumped her with my shoulder and took off towards the creek. I knew it was shallow so I ran right into it and splashed around. I waited and watched to see how she would react. *

  3. Damn my wolf for enjoying the male in front of her. Thoughts of my past rushed through me. I saw Slade and I in our animal form enjoying what seemed like a game of chase. I smiled to myself, but I could not help this nagging feeling that something was not quite right. Things were going to fast and I felt out of control. I did not like it no matter how much my wolf protested the fact. I jumped up to keep myself from falling under the spell the male was weaving. I liked him and maybe I shouldn't. Space, yes I needed some space for a bit. I breathed deeply trying to clear my nose of his scent. I was afraid if I kept this up I would fall for the male, just like he wanted me too. Slowly, I started to move away from him, but instead of him keeping his distance, he jumped up and nudged me. With a huff, I hurried a few steps away but the damn wolf was determined to bump into me again before running off. What was his game? Was he planning on me to follow along? At first I was just going to ignore him, but curiosity won and I followed him over towards the bank of shallow water. He splashed around for a bit like a silly pup. Eyeing him carefully before I bent down at lapped at the cool creek. Instead of letting me be the male barked and danced around until the water splashed over my face. Looking up I growled but that did nothing to stop his playfulness. The only thing my annoyance did was encourage his behavior. Again he barked, but this time he moved closer so more of the water he splashed in hit me right between the eyes. Rising up I glared in his direction before surprising him by jumping into the creek and causing the water to drench his fur. I chuckled inside at his surprised look before leaping away up onto the opposite bank and taking off deeper into the woods. I would show him alright. That's what he gets for splashing me!

  4. * I chuckled and let her run giving her a little space before I took off after her. We were getting close to the end of our pack lands and I didn't want her venturing too far out. Catching up to her easily, I ran ahead of her and tried to steer her around to head back the other direction. She growled at me, not wanting to listen. I knew we had men out there ready to use a tranquilizer gun on her if she went to far. I nodded my big head telling her to head back. She glared at me and began to walk around me. I shifted to my human form. * Jordan, there are enforcer's out there ready to tranquilize you if you go too far. The will think your running. Please listen.

  5. What in the hell! The male shifted right before my eyes. Its not that I did not know all about how the process worked, I was just surprised that he did it at this moment. I knew men were following us, but they had given Slade and I room to get to know one another. I wanted to listen to him, but another part of me was so frustrated with following orders. Why could I not just be my own self and go on my merry way? Oh right, I tried to kill one of the bear shifters and supposedly I was mated to this naked man who is blocking my path. With a huff I turned away and headed back in the direction we had come from. I held my head up high and swished my tail from side to side as if I did not care. Of course I was angry and decided I was not going to give the male the satisfaction of shifting back to my human form. My mind was made up. Once the police station was in view I was going to lay down on the grass in my wolf form and refuse to do anything. It's not like I was running away or hurting anyone. What could they do to me now

  6. * I sensed Jordan's anger and watched her walk back towards the Police Station. I shifted back to my wolf form effortlessly and followed her. Giving her space, knowing that what ever I did to try to change her mood would only anger her more. She ignored me on the slow trec back and once we reached the station she laid down, keeping her head on her paws and looked away from me. I couldn't help but chuckle, she wanted to be stubborn and well, I was okay with that. I shifted back to my human form and put my clothes on. I sent a message to Lily, letting her know we were back and asked her to send out the meals that should have been delivered for both of us. I knew this shift was going to be hard on Jordan and she was going to need a lot of protein right now. The back door of the Police station opened and one of the guards walked out with a tray that held two plates filled with steak, mashed potatoes, gravy and green beans. I had chocolate chip cookies for dessert. Thanking the guard, I sat at the picnic table that was placed outside for us to use in situations like this and began to eat my lunch. I knew Jordan had to be hungry and would give in to the aroma of the meat eventually. *

  7. I was mad, confused and down right wishing I could figure out my life. I laid down upon the grass with an annoyed huff once we were within sight of the police station. Slade had shifted into his human form and slipped on some clothes before tapping on his phone as he moved towards the picnic table. He was chuckling to himself when two plates arrived and were set in front of him. Damn! The food smelled delicious. My stomach rumbled loudly but I had decided I wasnt going to shift and be put back in a cell again. As much as I wanted to eat, I knew I could hold off a little longer. After all, I had been practically starved to death in the fighting camp I escaped from. My stomach protested again and I looked over as the male ate. He winked in my direction and told me if I shifted I could join him at the table and enjoy a plate of the same food he was devouring. Whimpering, I turned my head away hoping the feeling of hunger would go away soon. Now that I had been getting plenty to eat in this new town my belly did not want to empty like it was before. The male started to make moaning noises as he chewed his meal. Rising up on my legs I barked at him while slowly stepping closer to the table. Once I was within a foot he gestured towards the opposite bench with knife in hand and told me again to shift and I could eat with him. Why did he not understand that I just could not, would not, did not want to go in that cell again. As I stood there, a plan began to form and without giving any warning I jumped up so my front paws banged on top of the table, surprising the male who yelled "Hey!" at the same time I grabbed the steak between my teeth and took off running towards the edge of the trees. I stopped momentarily to see if Slade was going to follow but he just righted the plate I knocked over and shook his head in my direction before he went back to finish eating his food. Whew! I found the perfect grassy spot to lay down and enjoy my steak while keeping an eye on the male who claimed to be my mate
