I didn't have to drive much longer before my eyes caught sight of a walmart type store. With a right jerk to the steering wheel, I quickly pulled into the parking lot Damn I almost missed seeing that! Brennan yelped as she bounced in the seat when I took the turn too quickly. I couldn't help but laugh. My life was already screwed so what was a little more danger added to it. Once the truck came to a stop I slipped the keys to the vehicle in my jacket pocket before jumping out and strolling to the front door of the store. The other female could either follow or wait in the truck for me. It didn't really matter anyway. I was just going to pick up a few boxes of some blonde type hair dye and stuff them into my pockets. I didn't have any money to buy shit and I sure as hell wasn't going to let anyone catch me. My shoes squeaked slightly as I made my way down isle after isle looking for the products I needed to do my hair. Damn the floors in this place for being so obnoxiously clean which caused my dirty wet shoes to call too much attention to my whereabouts.

* I smirked at her from my perch on one of the beds.* I bet it'll look nice, you never know. * I pointed to the bags of snacks and sodas.* Do you want to order pizza or something? Or we can just veg out and watch tv. * Jordan sat on her bed and I tossed her a clean tee shirt with a kitten on it. She rolled her eyes and I cracked up.* I couldn't stop myself! I had to get it for you!
ReplyDeleteAfter I slipped the tee shirt on and towel dried my now blonde hair I then snatched one of the snacks up off the small table in the room. A kitten? really? The female laughed again and shook her head, while I tore open the package and wolfed down the chips in the bag. I picked up a can of soda and chugged half of the contents before I took a breath and let out loud manly burp. We both actually laughed at each other as we fist bumped. I think I am going to just get some sleep. It's been a long drive and I am going to need all the sleep I can get before staking out the town we are going to take down. With a soft yawn I crawled under the blanket and sheet and smiled as I rubbed my cheek against the soft pillow. It had been way too long since I slept in a bed, and who knew when I would have the opportunity to take advantage of such pleasures again. My heavy lids drew shut fast as I snuggled into a deep sleep
ReplyDelete* I watched Jordan sleep for a few minutes before climbing under the covers in my bed. I was beat. This trip was exhausting but in the end I prayed it would be worth it. My eyes closed as I rolled over, got comfy and drifted off to sleep with the tv still on in the background. *
